These are some names that grabbed our attention at the Freshmen Showcase and because of that, worked their way into the rankings update for 2029.

[player_tooltip player_id='2859812' first='Landon' last='Chambers'] of Prior Lake. Good size at his age with the ability to step away from the basket and be a stretch forward. Nice touch that looks like he can play inside-out. Good year for the Fury, won't be needed with all that PL size but a name for the future.

[player_tooltip player_id='2923915' first='Jovan' last='Clay'] at St. Louis Park. Clay is a 5'9 guard that will need to grow but over the next four years he is going to help the Orioles. I saw him score 16 points on 7 of 11 shooting playing half of the 40 minute running time game plus he grabbed six boards in that game. That was a game that I committed to memory which means the name came with it.

[player_tooltip player_id='2857837' first='Soren' last='Collins'] of Hill-Murray. Soren's determination and his focused demeanor stood out to me when I saw him earlier this fall. At 6'1 he competed in a focused and heavy way. In the game I saw, Soren scored 18 points knocking out 8 of 13 attempts for the winning team. Collins will be needed sooner than later as HM lost a ton of seniors.

[player_tooltip player_id='2434106' first='Jewhan' last='Edwards'] of DeLaSalle. Edwards is among those young players at De that everybody is talking about. He uses his speed to get wherever he wants and often it doesn't matter where the defense is, Jewhan is getting to the paint. Edwards leverages his way to crafty finishes and he was one of the elite guards at the showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id='2782368' first='Wesley' last='Guanzini'] of Centennial. Centennial has a lot to replace from last year and while Wesley may need some time, he is a good looking player that should help sooner than later. He was outstanding for the Minnesota Crossfire this winter doing a lot of everything, and at this event he was scoring in bulk on and off the ball. His competitive battle at the Freshman Showcase really stood out.

[player_tooltip player_id='2848504' first='Liam' last='Jensen'] of Park Center. Liam is about 6'7 and was the biggest player at our Freshman Showcase. He was stronger than the rest of the players but I really liked his engagement at that event. He was vocal, made an effort to consistently defend, and played hard which is not always the case at guys his size. There is potential here because Liam is a willing competitor in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='2808557' first='Brody' last='Pesta'] of Eastveiw. Brody is 6-foot-5 and he caught our attention at the Showcase. Brody did some hard working things rebounding, finishing going to the rim, setting good screens, and defending. More lunch pail and playing active than flashy, but productive which committed the name to memory for the future while at that event.

[player_tooltip player_id='2960502' first='Caleb' last='Williams'] of Rochester Lourdes. One of the most efficient players and mature players I saw at the Showcase, Caleb scored 17 points on 8 of 12 shooting against one of the best guards there. It was his timing within each possession of the attempt that really caught my eye. Watching him play, I have to believe he can help a varsity team sooner than later in his career at Lourdes.
