Jr. EYBL Mansfield Top Team Standouts

Top Teams at Jr. EYBL Mansfield

AB Elite 2030

AB Elite 2030 continues to show why they are ranked so high. Continuing their dominance and going undefeated again this weekend. With elite ranked players and good teamwork they have many different options. Getting to the rim and out in transition is one of their strong suits. Blocking shots and protecting the rim on the defensive side of the ball. They have players that can score from all three levels and score off the bounce as well. The different options from game to game is very beneficial because if one player may not be making his normal shots they have plenty who can fill that role for that game.

Houston Hoops 2029

Houston Hoops 2029 is another team that I have got the chance to see a few times and they have gotten much better. Top level ranked talent on their squad that work well together. When they are moving the ball and utilizing the pick n role they are lethal. They have guards that can knock it down at a good percentage from beyond the arc while their bigs are able to play in the post and finish through contact. They are a well coached group that controls their emotions well and doesn't beat themselves.

Mokan 2030

Mokan 2030 is a team that I haven't really got to see in person and they really impressed me. They moved the ball really well and had some nice sets they could run. With some guards that had unlimited range and shot at a good percentage. They had a couple bigs that had nice touch around the rim and some good footwork in the post game that took advantage of any smaller mismatches. A well coached group that frequently subbed to keep guys fresh and continue getting after it.

Team Thad Manuel 2029

Team Thad Manuel started the event with a tough loss to a good AB Elite squad. They were close all game and ended up losing in the final minutes. They didn't let it affect the rest of their games, winning all three matchups after. Their guards really impressed me with their playmaking. Whether it be scoring off the dribble or creating opportunities for their bigs and wings. On the defensive side of the ball they were able to create some turnovers for easy buckets in fast break opportunities. Their coaches held them accountable and really kept them going.
