The inaugural Blue Chip Invitational Hoops Summit tipped off in Louisville, KY, on Friday and immediately made its mark as a premier, must-attend event. Designed with a strong focus on player development, the showcase featured three of the top 2032 teams in the nation, blending high-level skill work with elite competition. Below is our initial list of standouts from the weekend.

Derek Coleman Jr. (4'11” | PG | 2032 | Louisville, KY | Blue Chip All-Stars)

Coleman was the most dynamic player at the event, embodying the qualities of a true floor general. With exceptional court vision and pinpoint passing, he consistently set up teammates for easy buckets while also proving he could score at will. His ability to change speeds and direction, combined with a quick first step, made him nearly impossible to stay in front of. Not just a slasher, Coleman also showcased a polished perimeter game, knocking down shots with efficiency. Defensively, he was just as impressive—an aggressive, physical on-ball defender who made opposing ball handlers work for every possession. With continued development, Coleman's long-term potential is as high as any player in his class.

Tucker Wise (5'8” | PF | 2032 | Indianapolis, IN | Hoosier Phenoms)

A high-level shooter with size, Wise projects as a prototypical stretch-four moving forward. His ability to knock down three-pointers at a high rate made him a matchup problem, but he also excelled in other areas. Wise played with physicality, rebounded well, and provided strong defensive play. His ball-handling in transition was notable for his position, showing a level of versatility uncommon for young forwards. While his game is currently more finesse than power, his skill set and upside are undeniable.

Camden Day (4'11” | PG | 2032 | Indianapolis, IN | Hoosier Phenoms)

Day played with poise beyond his years, displaying a steady command of the game as a lead guard. He controlled the pace, made smart decisions, and kept his head up to find open teammates. His ball security and ability to value possessions were impressive, and his experience from playing high-level basketball was evident in his IQ and composure. If he continues on his current trajectory, Day has the potential to be a strong long-term prospect.

Jordan Taylor (4'11” | PG | 2032 | Gahanna, OH | Buckeye Prep Phenoms)

Taylor had a standout weekend, proving to be a lethal catch-and-shoot threat from beyond the arc. In addition to his perimeter shooting, he showed a well-rounded scoring ability, with an effective mid-range game and the ability to finish at multiple levels. A highly skilled and cerebral player, Taylor also maintained his reputation as a tough, high-level defender. What stood out most was his unselfishness—despite his scoring ability, he played the game the right way, always looking to involve his teammates.

The Blue Chip Invitational Hoops Summit lived up to its billing and then some. The level of play was outstanding, and the event showcased some of the best young talent in the country. Congratulations to Brian Underwood and his staff for hosting a first-class event. Stay tuned as we continue to highlight more standouts from the weekend!
