Kiehl has been a big factor for Monroe in his sophomore year and it was clear to see his impact Wednesday night against Shorecrest in a winner-to-state game. At the top of their zone, he was quick to rotate and recognize opportunities to trap the ball, had active hands and feet, and was locked in each possession. He has some excellent quickness and it showed up on the offensive end later in the game when he was able to draw some fouls away from the hoop and work to the foul line. His defensive effort also helped seal the win for Monroe when he peeled back on a drive and stole a pass sinking from the top of their zone.

Smart guard with a good handle. Uses a lot of stop-and-start in his game to get by defenders. Pairs ball fakes with change of pace, throws his eyes different directions, and does a lot of small things to get an edge on his defender. Was constantly driving inside against Mount Si and showed some pretty spectacular finishing ability from tough angles and with defenders right there. Definitely can be a pass-first point guard but has also shown some impressive creativity and finishing ability.

Pacey, bursty guard who can surprise you with some real athletic plays and sneak up on bigger guys to meet them at the rim for some chase-down/help-side blocks. Very opportunistic defensively with quick hands and an aggressive mindset. His bread and butter though is scoring the ball. Excellent from behind the arc and has good footwork to pair with that pace, getting defenders on their heels and scoring from the midrange.

Great athlete and a kid with some extended range from three, he has a lot of options when he has the ball with that paring. Definitely has the ability to work in between areas but does a lot of work from three and at putting defenders in precarious positions on his drives. Quite often he gets the angle on defenders and is crafty with pickups and finishes to create that contact at the rim and work to the line.
