Prep Hoops Next National Championships: All Tournament Team 12U

Ball players from across the country traveled to middle America in hopes of winning a Prep Hoops Next National Championship. The tournament was held in Kansas City, Missouri over the weekend. These young men showcased their skills at a level high enough to be worthy of a spot on the All Tournament Team.    This Young man has game!! A very talented player who scores in many ways on the court. He has an excellent post game and uses multiple move to generate points in the paint. Showed the ability to knock down mid range shots and free throw conversions. Has good ball handling skills to get around opposing defenders and score with relative ease. A very strong rebounding forward who attacked the glass on both ends of the floor. In the game I witnessed over the weekend, Kayvanes was the alpha of his squad. He lead his team in points, rebounds and the tenaciousness to make every shot, grab every rebound and win every game. This young man is a winner!! As long as he keeps this mentality on the basketball court, his future will be bright on all levels of play.     Over the weekend, I witnessed this young man be a beast on the glass and unstoppable in the paint. Skylar was the focal point of the Tyler Prospects offense throughout the tournament. The ball always seemed to find a way into his hands as he often took advantage by scoring on most of his shots. He's an excellent scorer in the paint, who grabs a ton of offensive rebounds and scores through contact. A good free throw shooter who converted on multiple three point play opportunities. Runs the floor very well and attacks the basket in transition. Skylar is a great defender who blocked multiple shots and played really tough defense on his opposition. This young man has a very high motor and never seemed to tire! (Which is a good thing) A really good player who I believe will be elite as he continues to grow and age.     Enzo is a really good combo guard who has the capability of running a team as the lead guard or as a shooter. Over the weekend, I saw this young man run both positions at a high level. He's an excellent floor general who found ways to hit open teammates with flashy passes that lead to easy baskets. Showed great leadership by making sure everyone ran the offense how it was meant to be run. He was never flustered by the opposing team and played the game with a very calm demeanor. At the off guard position, this kid is special!! He's an elite ball handler who can blow by opposing guards and score at the rim with no problems. Great jump shooter that had no issues making shots from all over the floor. I watched Enzo nail multiple shots from long range and use a package of floaters and dribble drives to attack the basket. This young man is special and I plan to keep track of his progression, as he continues to enhance his abilities.     Emry is a good ball handler and pass first point guard who looks to setup teammates for positive outcomes. He displayed all the necessary fundamentals needed to be an elite floor leader. He's a great assists man who made pin-point passes, which lead to easy scores for the offense. Over the weekend, Emry lead his team in assists and play making. This young guy was literally the engine that made his squad go!! He can effectively lead fast-break opportunities, often resulting in scores for himself or others. Has the dribbling skills to get around defenders and get to the rim. On the other side of the ball, he was a pest for the opposing point guard, often forcing turnovers and being physical. He also showed the ability to score effectively from mid-range and knock down free-throws. He truly has what it takes to be great at his position.     Offensive minded combo guard who scores in a variety of ways on the basketball court. Xavier is an explosive scorer who can beat his defender off the dribble and slash to the basket. A really good shooter who can light it up from anywhere on the floor. I saw him knock down multiple long range three's throughout the tournament. On occasion, he played the point guard spot and show his effectiveness by making all the necessary plays and passes needed to help his squad win. Xavier displayed a high level of fearlessness by seeking contact and often, drawing fouls in the paint from opposing defenders. Excellent free throw shooter who converted on most of the ones he took. As this young man continues to grow, he'll constantly be a problem for the other teams defense.     A little guard who has elite ball handling skills!! Bryston has a lot of talent in that small frame. Just imagine if he was maybe five inches taller at his current age? He would truly be one of the best players at the tournament. Great at breaking the defense down off the dribble and driving the lane. He either scored or drew in the defense which lead to easy assists for his teammates. Had no problems scoring in the games I witnessed. Had the ball handling skills to get his shot off regardless of who stood in front of him with the use of side and step-back jump shots. Bryston used his quickness to get to any spot on the floor where he could either distribute or attack the defense. A good defensive guard who made it tough on the opposition by pressuring them into turnovers and shooting passing lanes for easy steals. I'm really interested to see how things turn out for this little guy in the future. Love his game!!     Kingston is very athletic player that has a scorers mentality. In the game against Della 2030-1 he was unstoppable as he lead the team in scoring. He scored in every way possible and the Della squad literally had no answers for him. Good ball handler who constantly blew by opposing defenders and scored, even through contact which lead to three point plays being converted. He was really good at finishing with both hands on his dribble drives to the rim. Runs the floor, finishes in transition and has a good shooting touch from the perimeter. I watched him nailed multiple threes and convert on his free throw opportunities. Kingston can also make plays on the defensive end of the court. He forced numerous turnovers by playing a ball hawking style of defense on opposing guards. This young man is wired differently than most players his age when it comes to scoring. I believe he's boarder line elite right now!!     Grant showed an ability to score in a variety of ways within the painted area. Most of the points he scored were on hustle plays such as put backs and layups. He occasionally stepped out and made mid-range jump shots when the opportunity presented itself. He was great at running the floor and finishing layups in fast break situations. Plays the game with a very high amount of energy and seemed to be everywhere on the court making plays for his squad. A great shot blocker who I seen turn away numerous players at the basket over the weekend. He can also defend multiple positions on the court. If a switch occurred and he was on a guard, Grant had no problem keeping the opposing player in front of him. In my opinion, his biggest strength was the sheer hustle he showed to be a part of every play on the court.     Isaiah showed the ability to play both inside and outside the paint over the weekend. He has good post moves along with the ability of making jump shots outside of fifteen feet. He's a good ball handler who can bring the ball up court under control and grab rebounds for easy put backs. Seamlessly works well on offense getting to his spots for open looks and scores, often through contact from defenders. Sets excellent screens that allowed his teammates to be effective during their offensive sets. Good interior post defender who had no issues boxing out and grabbing defensive rebounds. Isaiah is very knowledgeable in regards to defending the painted area. A really good shot blocker who made it hard for opposing players to attack the paint and score. He showed the ability of defending opposing post players without generating many fouls. I believe Isaiah has a bright future in the game of basketball. All of his intangibles are being showcased for all to see.
