June Jam Best of the Rest 2029

The remaining members of the class of 2029 were fundamentally sound as it pertained to all the intangibles. Defense along with offense and play-making were critical to the success of every team at the June Jam tourney. Every one of these young men represented themselves well enough to have bright futures within the sport.    Excellent shooter who knocked down multiple three's in the game I witnessed over the weekend. Isaac has the offensive mentality of a shooter. He moves around constantly on the offensive end of the court, often using screens to free himself for open looks. He also showed the ability of being a good passer who can setup teammates for easy scores at basket. Good team defender who knows where he needs to be in order to be effective. Shooters are always needed at every level of basketball. Isaac definitely has a bright future as three point sniper who doesn't need much space to get his shot off.     Offensive minded guard/forward who can scores in a variety of ways. Dominic is an explosive scorer who likes to drive to the basket and create offensive opportunities for his teammates. He plays the game with a high level of fearlessness, often seeking physical contact from opposing defenders in the paint. Really good ball handler who can easily get by most defenders and make plays. Excellent defender who willingly attacked the paint and grabbed rebounds. In the game versus [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier'] 2029 Red, I saw Dominic force three turnovers that lead to scores for his team. He is a really good on ball defender and has the lateral quickness to shoot passing lanes for easy steals. Awesome two way player with room to grow his basketball skills.     Adam displays all the facets of a lead guard. He showed strong leadership skills by constantly having teammates in positive situations. Excellent passer who often found his guys open for easy scoring opportunities. Showed the ability to create off the dribble and attack the basket for easy scores. (Even through contact) Played a ball-hawking style of defense where he forced a number of turnovers from opposing guards. Adam is a really good point guard who displayed a high level of composure while running offensive and defensive sets. Just your prototypical floor general who definitely has the skills to be successful.     Nolan showed a great shooting touch by making every three point shot he attempted while I watched over the weekend. He was really good at using screens to free himself up for open looks at the basket. Tough little guard who plays fearlessly when he's on the floor. Good passer who has the ability to make plays for others. Nolan runs the floor well on fast breaks, and seems to always find himself open. He showed how he only needs a limited amount of space to get his shot off effectively.     Excellent ball handler who displayed all the necessary fundamentals needed to be a good floor leader. He is capable of making pin-point passes, often leading to easy scores for teammates. Nolan loves going around defenders and slashing to the basket. He effectively lead fast-break opportunities which resulted in easy baskets for himself or other offensive players. Colton played great man on man defense that lead to numerous turnovers from opposing guards. He showed the ability of scoring effectively from mid-range and the mental toughness of making his free-throws. Really good player who will continue to grow as a point guard.     Chris has excellent passing ability, often finding open teammates for easy shots at the basket. A high energy player who has the ability to create off the dribble and get into the lane. He's a great scorer who attacks the lane with floaters and driving layups. I witnessed Chris knockdown numerous shots from mid-range over the weekend. There were a few occasions where he was able to convert from long range due to being left alone. When Chris was on the floor, he stayed in constant attack mode, always looking to make plays on offense and defense. Tough minded guard who plays tight defense on opposing players, often forcing them into turnovers and causing mistakes.     Will definitely has the skills to run a team at the point guard position. He had no problems finding open teammates for easy scoring opportunities. Excellent play maker and assists man who lead his team in that category over the weekend. A very unselfish player who always has a pass first mentality. When the opportunity arrived, he showed the ability of attacking the basket off the dribble. A good mid range shooter who can knock them down when available. Will made numerous plays on defense by playing passing lanes and making on ball steals from the opposition.     Cohen is a really good spot up shooter. I witnessed him convert most of the shots he took over the weekend. Somehow he always found ways to get open and be effective on offense. A very quick release on his jump shot that made defending him a very tough task for opposing defenders. Cohen showed the ability to knock down shots from both long and mid range. Defensively, he gave major effort when defending the opposition. Staying attached to the man he was guarding and helping teammates set traps on the guards of other teams.
