Class 6A Area 11
Head Coach: Chris Berry
Last Season Record: 19-8 (According to maxpreps.com)
X: @GdaleBasketball
Key Players
Trey Crawford
Trey Crawford
Trey will be needed to provide scoring as he is one of the Rockets’ main scoring threats. He is a three-level scorer with positional size and experience. He will not only need to be a leader on and off the floor but also produce numbers that stand out.
Braylon Hurt

Braylon is an athletic wing who can guard multiple positions and make an impact on the defensive end of the floor. Developing his consistency on the offensive end of the floor will be key. There will be somewhat of a learning curve for him, but he should be impacting both ends of the floor by the time the playoffs roll around.
Ryan Lemons

Ryan will be handed a lot of the floor general responsibilities, and Coach Berry trusts that he will be able to run the show despite his youth. He is a high basketball IQ player with good court vision and very good passing skills.
Coaches Corner
I spoke with Coach Berry and asked him about two players he is interested in seeing how they perform in June, and he mentioned:
Jaden Bivens Jaden Bivens 6'3" | PF AL
Jaden Bivens Jaden Bivens 6'3" | PF AL

Jaden is a versatile wing with length. He showed a lot of potential on JV last season and will be looked upon to provide some valuable minutes on varsity this year.
Jackson Hanner

Jackson is transitioning from JV to Varsity and will need to bring his relentless competitive nature to the court every night. He will find minutes and will be looked to for production.
Coach Berry heads into June knowing he has an inexperienced group, with many transitioning to the varsity level. He knows that his team has the potential to be a solid defensive team, making it hard for opponents to find a rhythm. He believes June will give his guys some time to create some chemistry, especially on the offensive end of the floor. He hopes that he will see growth and maturity overall as many of the guys step into new roles.
Here is where you can find the Rockets in the month of June:
June 4: at West Point
June 6: at Guntersville
June 10: at Jasper
June 11: at Hoover
June 13: at Auburn Team Camp
June 22: at AHSAA Event
