Here are important notes about prospects across the state:
More 2024s off the board
Power Center Academy point guard Marquis Tunstall has committed to Philander Smith College. Ridgeway’s forward Emanuel Allen has committed to Columbia State Community College.
Tunstall’s teammate, Nazir Allen, will play an extra year of high school basketball at Tennessee Prep.
Camp invites
Columbia Academy’s guard Gabe Davenport (2025) has been invited to elite camps at Tusculum, Union, IUPUI, Austin Peay, and Lees-McRae College.
Nolensville’s Chris Johnson (2026) has been invited to elite camps at Rider, Lehigh, and Lafayette. The Leopards will evaluate Johnson in May during the live period.
Houston’s point guard Justin Frison (2027) has been invited to Central Missouri’s Elite Camp.
Decision looming
Fayette Ware’s senior guard Eric Jones will be making his college announcement this Thursday.
Southwest Tennessee Community College and Tusculum have offered Tennessee Tigers 17U senior Josiah Hubbard. Trevecca, Cal State San Marcos, Cumberland, Faulkner, Cleveland State Community College, and Roane State have all inquired about Hubbard.
Heating up
Cleveland High’s Maguire Evans (2025) has been hearing from William & Mary, Charleston Southern, North Dakota State, Augustana University, LeMoyne College, Mercer, Newberry, Pacific, Penn, Nova Southeastern, and UCSB.
Christian Brothers junior guard Carson Chandler has had conversations with Radford, Alabama State, and UT-Martin. Wallace State Community College has reached out to Chandler, along with several Division 2 and Division 3 programs.
