Sahil Kapadia had an outstanding year for Thomas Jefferson. TJ is a magnet school, so they weren’t really on my radar to start the year. I heard a few good things about Sahil, so I checked them out, and he was impressive. He has great length at 6’7″ and is a tremendous defender. Sahil has a nice touch and rebounds the ball well. He was first-team all-district and the defensive player of the year as well.
TJ Bethea was one of the hardest players to stop this year as a driver and in transition. He is a great finisher and has a knack for drawing fouls. TJ is an active defender and a good rebounder. He averaged 15.1 PPG, 5.3 RPG, and 2.4 SPG. He was a first-team all-region selection, and a lot of Potomac’s success this year was because of TJ.
Highlights
Cam Love Cam Love 6’4″ | SF Fairfax | 2024 State VA is the size of a big wing or forward but has all the skills of a two-guard. He is a great shooter and is athletic. He is tough to stop when he attacks the rim and is a great finisher. Cam’s size and athletic ability help him to be an effective rebounder. Cam averaged 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists a game. He was also a second-team all-region selection.
Potomac Falls gets their offense from a lot of different people; one of them is David Marshall David Marshall 6’3″ | PF Potomac Falls | 2024 State VA . David has a fantastic motor, and although he’s only about 6’3″, he is a difficult cover in the paint. He has excellent quickness, which helps him blow by guys that guard him, and he is a beast on the offensive glass. He is a good athlete, and he can guard many positions on defense. He finished the year averaging 13.1 PPG, 7.2 RPG, and 2.9 SPG. David was first-team all-region and second-team all-state.
Another guy who produced for this Potomac Falls team was Colby Margenau Colby Margenau 6’7″ | SF Potomac Falls | 2024 State VA . Colby has great length for a wing and a lot of skill. Colby is a good driver and puts the ball on the floor well for a guy at 6’7″. He is another Pot Falls player with an incredibly high motor, and keeping him off the glass at his size is challenging. Colby is also a sneaky good passer. He finished the year averaging 13 PPG.

Sean Donovan Sean Donovan 6’7″ | C W.T. Woodson | 2024 State VA had a really solid year for Woodson. He is productive on both ends of the court and doesn’t shy away from contact. He is a good defender in the post and in the paint overall. He’s great around the rim with his touch, and he rebounds the ball well. Sean averaged 10 PPG and 7.1 RPG and was a second-team all-region selection.
