Head Coach Corey Stitzel started VA Premier not too long ago, but has become one of the top teams in the state that consistently places prospects at all levels in college. They will compete in the Hoop Group HGSL Circuit again this year. Here’s a look at their roster to start the season.
Shane Crissman Shane Crissman 6'6" | SG Miller School | 2025 State VA | 6’6” WF | Miller School 2025
Crissman has become one of the best players in the NOVA area over the last few years, and he’ll have a chance to show that off on the HGSL Circuit this summer. At 6’6” Crissman has a complete game with good size as he knocks it down from deep consistently, he can put it on the deck and get to spots where he can score it from all three levels and he’s able to make tough shots while making it look easy while he does it.
Dylan Deluca | 6’7” PF | United Faith (NC) 2025
Deluca is the only returner from last year to this team after reclassifying, and he’s coming off a strong season where he was highly productive across the board. The 6’7” forward is a blue collar type of player who is physical in the paint and makes it tough on opponents throughout the game, he has soft touch around the rim and to the midrange and he plays with a great motor as a rebounder and rim runner.
Ben Wesson Ben Wesson 6'4" | SG Albemarle | 2024 State VA | 6’5” WG | Fork Union 2025
Wesson is coming off an All State senior season where he led Albemarle to the state semifinal game, and he’ll head to Fork Union to follow in the footsteps of his bother Carter Wesson. Wesson has great size on the wing and is a good athlete as well, he can drill it from deep and create space off the bounce, he’s a high IQ player and he can make plays on the defensive end too.
Sam Norfleet | 5’11” PG | Rock Creek 2024
Norfleet may be the smallest guy on this team, but he’ll make a huge impact with his mix of talent, athleticism and grit that he brings to the floor. He’s an absolute pest on the defensive end as he moves his feet well and has good hands to get steals, he has good speed in the open floor and a quick first step and he’s able to make plays for himself and others when he has the ball in his hands.
Wade Bland Wade Bland 6'2" | PG Blacksburg | 2025 State VA | 6’2” PG | Blacksburg 2025
Bland has been one of the top players in the Roanoke/NRV area over the last few years, and he was a big standout on their 16U team last year as well. Bland is a crafty guard who can handle pressure and break down defenders off the bounce, he can knock down shots from deep consistently, he’s a good finisher when he gets to the rim and he has a great feel on both ends of the floor.
Cam Quarles | 6’2” CG | Louisa 2024
Quarles is a guard who will be looking for a college or a prep school this spring/summer, and he’s coming off two very impressive years at Louisa where he showed his ability to do a little bit of everything. At 6’2” he can play on or off the ball, he drills it from deep off the catch and off the bounce, he has good feel with the ball in his hands and he makes plays on the defensive end as well.
Colby Margenau Colby Margenau 6'7" | SF Potomac Falls | 2024 State VA | 6’7” F | Potomac Falls 2024
Margenau had a great career at Potomac Falls as one of the top scorers in the NOVA public schools, and he’s another guy looking for a post grad situation with this group. The 6’7” forward is a walking bucket at his size with his ability to work off the ball to get open and drill it from deep on the move, he can get downhill and score it in traffic and he’s a good athlete who can play above the rim too.
