A wiry guard with a wide reach who impacts the game on both ends, Steverson is among the top names within New Mexico. Capable of accelerating quickly to the basket, the guard often looks for opportunities in the paint, bringing in a long frame for a backcourt position. Steverson has repeatedly shown the ability to score above the rim, bringing in a lanky and wide reach. Defensively, he is often tasked with matching up against the opponent’s top perimeter threat. The guard is a terror in transition or while recovering onto a driver, quick to swat away shot attempts off the backboard. He follows a terrific season at Cleveland, following a 20-8 record.
Aguino’s skill set can be molded into a wide variety of lineups, dependable at doing the dirty work in the paint or stretching the floor. An excellent decision maker within the paint, the forward keeps his eyes up to survey where help is rotating. He continues to progress handling the ball, particularly in traffic. Efficient scoring through contests, Aguino brings plenty of grit and finesse finishes around the rim, versatile down low. The forward’s high release point makes him nearly impossible to block on incoming shot contests. Part of what makes the forward so impactful is his nose for the ball, always in the area vying for a rebound. Licon kept pressure on the defense through his confident shotmaking out along the perimeter, possessing an especially quick release. Malleable off the catch or following a step back, the guard is versatile stepping into shot attempts from all areas of the floor. Alongside his shotmaking abilities, Licon brings a strong frame, effectively holding his ground on the defensive end. His positional strength allows him to guard up if switched onto a bigger guard or wing, quick to get into the opponents’ hips and bump them off the drive.
Highlights
Morris is a skilled ball handler versus pressure, effectively changing speeds whenever necessary. He looks to attack the lane more often than not, often sending kickout passes to perimeter shooters. Although undersized, Morris has no easy matchup for opponents to contain at the point of attack, given his shifty abilities. Looking to set up the offense firstly, Morris controls the tempo, rarely out of control while handling the ball.
Jackson possesses a versatile defensive skillset, matching up well 2 through 4. His wide reach and mobility allow him to hold his own at the point of attack. While on the help side he was an often beneficiary of blocks, quick to take away the driving lanes. Following shot attempts, Jackson stayed ready to find the box out the opponent and secure the glass, typically going up with two hands.
