Players that man the point guard spot are expected to distribute the basketball with good efficiency and shoot the ball well. Meanwhile, point guards are expected to play tough defense and cause problems for opposing players on the defensive end of the floor. We are going to highlight several prospects to look at that man the point guard position.
Kameron “KD” Hicks Kameron “KD” Hicks 6'1" | PG Little Rock Christian Academy | 2027 State AR -Point Guard-Little Rock Christian-6’1”
KD Hicks is a point guard that can hurt opposing basketball teams in a variety of ways. Hicks does a nice job of driving through the lane and either finishing with points or dishing the ball to the open shooter. He has no trouble hitting the jumper with plenty of consistency. Meanwhile, on the defensive end of the of floor, Hicks does a nice job of forcing the opposing guard into making mistakes with the basketball. Hicks is a prospect to watch out for this summer on the club circuit.
Kamryn Alexander Kamryn Alexander 5'11" | PG Maumelle | 2027 State AR -Point Guard-Maumelle-5’11”
Kamryn Alexander Kamryn Alexander 5'11" | PG Maumelle | 2027 State AR has no trouble taking opposing defenders off of the dribble and getting into the lane. He passes the ball well and delivers the basketball to the open shooter in impressive fashion. Gets into the lane and finishes with points while being fouled. Alexander has a smooth jump shot and is a steady player on the offensive end of the floor. On the defensive end of the floor, Alexander does a nice job of forcing plenty of turnovers. He is a prospect to watch out for over the next couple of seasons for Maumelle.
Graham Neipling Graham Neipling 6'0" | PG Rogers Heritage | 2027 State AR -Point Guard-Rogers Heritage-6’0”
The Rogers Heritage point guard opened plenty of eyes during the 2023 high school basketball season. Neipling does a great job of handling the basketball. He has a knack for finding the open shooter ready to score the basketball. Neipling does an excellent job of stuffing the stat sheet on both ends of the floor. He is an active player on both ends of the floor and one that has a high motor that can drive opposing players crazy. Neipling is a prospect that point guard spot to watch out for over the next couple of seasons.

Daylen Trask Daylen Trask 5'11" | PG Little Rock Central | 2027 State AR is a versatile player that can shift from the point guard position to the shooting guard spot in the blink of an eye. Trask shoots the jumper with plenty of consistency and can heat up quickly from the floor. He does a good job of staying active on the defensive end of the floor. Trask keeps his hands active on the defensive end of the floor and he does a nice job of pulling rebounds down as well. Trask is a player to watch out for over the next few seasons.
