The big man had a solid showing at Session 1. He played extremely hard and competed against some of the top talent in the country. The recent University of Tenessee commit was a force to be reckoned with on the inside as he made it tough for opponents with his physical play. He has a nice touch around the rim, as he can play with his back to the basket, as well as out of the face-up and attack off the bounce. The #1 player in the state and the #78 player in the country showed why he made his debut in the national rankings released last week.
Salim London Salim London 6'2" | CG Hoover | 2025 State #256 Nation AL (6’4/CG/’25/Hoover HS/Georgia Stars)

The talented combo guard from Hoover is running with the Georgia Stars this off-season, and he had a solid performance during session 1. He is surrounded by talent, and he spends most of his time running the show. He doesn’t have the luxury of getting the attempts that he gets at Hoover, but he was very efficient from the floor, and his PG IQ continues to develop, as seen throughout the weekend. Running the PG spot for the Stars this off-season will only help his continued growth.Â

Jacoby ran with the Georgia Stars and had some struggles during session 1, but after covering him for a few years, I have seen his ability to bounce back, so I am confident I will see Jacoby bounce back again. I look forward to seeing Jacoby back on the court at session 2.
Emmanuel Clarton Emmanuel Clarton 6'5" | PG Sumter Central | 2025 State AL Â (6’5/G/’25/ Alabama Fusion )

Emmanuel had it going during session 1 and showed his potent scoring prowess. He can get a bucket at any moment and can score it from all levels. He is at his best when attacking off the bounce because he is an aggressive downhill attacking guard who scores it well at the cup. He competed at a high level and continues to give college coaches reasons to look his way.
Jacobe Whitted Jacobe Whitted 6'5" | PF McAdory | 2025 State AL Â (6’5/W/’25/McAdory/ Alabama Fusion )

Jacobe continues to be one of our state’s most intriguing and versatile players. At session 1, he had so many tools on display and, at times, made it look really easy on the offensive end of the floor. He showed effortless athleticism, a solid skill set, and intriguing physical tools. Many will be looking to see him match and improve his play from session 1 to session 2.
J.D. Gossett (6’4/PG/2025/Huntsville HS/ Alabama Fusion )

JD is a player who does whatever it takes to win. He has a very good skill set, which was on display. He doesn’t force issues but plays within himself as he plays on and off the ball without any loss of production. He is an athletic backcourt talent who can score at all levels and doesn’t mind defending on the defensive end of the floor. I have gotten a lot of feedback on JD and his play early in the grassroots season, and many are saying his stock is on the rise, and from what I saw this weekend, I agree.
