Just four private schools and 64 public schools remain. During the frenetic week of games the following players impressed with their shooting.
Region Tournament Champions Jaren Davis Jaren Davis 6'3" | SG Cookeville | 2025 TN (Cookeville) and Joshua Heard Joshua Heard 6'5" | SG Cookeville | 2024 State TN (Cookeville) delivered an assortment of sweets to the table…too sweet for Siegel Stars. Heard made two three-pointers within the first two minutes of the game. His team made 14 through three quarters to make it an unusually uncompetitive game. Jaren Davis Jaren Davis 6'3" | SG Cookeville | 2025 TN made four three-pointers by himself as did Heard. Teammate Jack Oakley Jack Oakley 6'3" | SG Cookeville | 2024 State TN dropped four in too.
Osby Cavin Osby Cavin 6'2" | SG Pope Prep | 2026 State TN (Pope Prep) came off of the bench in the State Tournament Semifinal, dribbled into a three-pointer with his first touches of the basketball. Brady Haun (Alcoa) hit some big shots against Gatlinburg-Pittman. Ultimately, he earned placement on the Region 1-2A All-Tournament Team
Jake Foster (Gordonsville) sizzled in a scrappy Regional Final versus Pickett County Thursday night, smoothly scoring his team’s first 13 points on 7 shots.
