Now, we are doing to 64 Sectional champions still remaining. Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground coverage through Sectional week and will be in several gyms across the state on Regional Saturday. As we did prior Sectional week, we will spend this week previewing the 32 Regional games that will be played on Saturday, March 9th. Here is our preview of the four Regionals that make up the Class 2A South.
***Remember that the Semi-State will get redrawn from the eight remaining teams as opposed to maintaining “north” and “south” designation. Still for preview purposes here in the Regional, we will continue to refer to the left side of the bracket as the north and the right side of the bracket as the south.***
Irvington Prep vs. Park Tudor (Lebanon Regional)
The Irvington Prep Ravens came out of Sectional 42 with wins over Indianapolis Riverside and Eastern Hancock, but will face one of the favorites to come out of the south in Class 2A, the Park Tudor Panthers. As expected, the Panthers came out of Sectional 43 with a big win over a tough University team in the championship. These two teams actually played each other earlier in the season which saw an absolute beatdown from Park Tudor who would win 80-30. The Panthers have one of the more balanced rosters in Class 2A, but their two main guys are junior guards Hudson Horvath Hudson Horvath 6'1" | PG Park Tudor | 2025 State IN and Kelin Mark Kelin Mark 6'2" | SG Park Tudor | 2025 State IN . Irvington Prep also has balanced roster with three guys scoring in double figures with Major Davis (15.1), Javen Medaris (12.9), and Gideon Ohuabunwa (12.7). It simply comes down to talent on the floor in this one, and Park Tudor has more of it. I don’t expect a 50-point win like last time, but I expect another big performance from the Panthers here. The Prediction: Park Tudor
Parke Heritage vs. Northeastern (Martinsville Regional)
This was probably the matchup we were expecting to see at the Martinsville Regional as both were heavy favorites in their respective Sectional brackets. The Wolves of Parke Heritage dominated Sectional 44 and the Northeastern Knights won Sectional 41 like most expected. One of the more talented Class of 2026 prospects we have in the state is Parke Heritage guard Treigh Schelsky Treigh Schelsky 6'0" | PG Parke Heritage | 2026 State IN . He is coming off yet another big few game to get the Wolves to this point. Northeastern has a pretty good counter to Schelsky in junior guard Landon Scarrette Landon Scarrette 5'7" | PG Northeastern | 2025 IN who brings in 14.4 points per game. A few x-factors to look at here are Parke Heritage’s Renn Harper Renn Harper 5'11" | SG Parke Heritage | 2025 IN and BT Luce and Northeastern’s Tre Vanlandingham. This is one of the closer games to call in the Class 2A Regional because both teams are balanced, well-coached, and no stranger to postseason success. The Prediction: Parke Heritage
Switzerland County vs. Forest Park (Seymour Regional)
This game has the making of being a real battle between two of the better under-the-radar teams in the Class 2A South. Forest Park comes into the Seymour Regional after beating North Posey 52-46 in the Sectional 48 championship, but pretty much dominated in the two games prior. The Pacers of Switzerland County showed how to really grind their way through a tough Sectional 45 to get here, even though they only had to play two games to make it. A big reason why the Pacers are here is from the performance of 2025 wing Camden Craig Camden Craig 6'4" | SF Switzerland County | 2025 State IN , who recently became the leader in single-season points scored in school history. It is hard to pick against the way Craig is playing right now for the Pacers, but expect the Rangers of Forest Park to throw a lot at him on Saturday. The Prediction: Switzerland County
Sullivan vs. Brownstown Central (Washington Regional)
I think it is safe to say that we all expected Brownstown Central to be here at the point in the season. The Braves still remain the top team in Class 2A like they pretty much were all season long and took care of business pretty easily in Sectional 46. Purdue signee Jack Benter Jack Benter 6'4" | SG Brownstown Central | 2024 State #121 Nation IN scored 31 points in route to leading Brownstown past Providence in the Championship. The pieces around Benter of Chase Coomer, Parker Hehman Parker Hehman 6'0" | PG Brownstown Central | 2024 IN , and Colby Hall Colby Hall 6'6" | PF Brownstown Central | 2025 State IN help a ton here but you do have to worry a little bit about the health of Hall as he struggled with an ankle injury last week. Now on to Sullivan, they are coming off a very impressive showing in Sectional 47 beating Paoli, Linton-Stockton, and then South Knox to take the Sectional crown. They have a high-upside player in Cooper Bock Cooper Bock 6'6" | PF Sullivan | 2026 State IN , but I don’t think that is going to be enough to stop the Braves momentum. The Prediction: Brownstown Central
