Prep Hoops Circuit Alumni Series: Mason Jones (Indiana 2023)
Our Alumni Spotlight Series is a look back at those players who have found success as part of the Prep Hoops Circuit and continued on to have success at the collegiate level.
Hailing for Northwest Indiana, Mason Jones, a 6’7 forward in the 2023 class has become an integral part of the Ball State Men’s Basketball program in his first year with the team. Coming from Indiana Game AAU program and participating in the Prep Hoops Circuit, Jones is just one of the many successful players we have seen in recent years.
As part of Indiana Game, Mason was a tough hard-nosed player who controlled the game through his effort. A talent that could rebound at a high-level and create his own offense. Coming from a family of athletes with a father and brother who both chose football as their sport, Mason brought a lot of those same traits to the basketball court.
Now at Ball State, Mason has started in 21 games this year averaging 4.3 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. He had a career high in points with 12 against one of the best Mid-Major teams in the country in Indiana State. He was also pivotal in a win over Kent State where he pulled in 10 rebounds.
