Eli benning- Eli caught fire early on giving them an early lead. Has a really nice pull up jumper in the mid range area and beyond the 3. Shifty guard that is really good at creating his shot off the bounce at the top of the key. Made a ton of highlight plays that was momentum swings and he simply stole the show. Down 1 Eli gets fouled and sinks both free throws to knock off the defending champs.
Tasean Williams Tasean Williams 5'7" | PG Wichita Northwest | 2024 State KS – Tasean aka “noodle” is a quick point guard that loves to get in the paint and finish at the rim. Hes a better shooter than he’s known for and when he’s in rhythm it’s really good offense for the grizzlies. He finds his teammates and gets everyone involved with his various styles of passes and playmaking ability.
Joey Matteoni Joey Matteoni 6'8" | PF Blue Valley Northwest | 2024 State KS – There is not much you can do with the big, he seals his opponents well and demands the ball. Has a nice soft touch around the rim and protects his end on the defensive side at all cost. He loves that reverse lay up under the rim. Good perimeter defender when he has to switch to a guard out of ball screen situations.
Liam Calvert – He does all the little things. Took some charges when they needed them the most, rebounded the ball, and most importantly converted around the rim when his excellent guards gave him the dump off passes. He hit a late game 3 to help extend that lead that seemed to be a momentum swing.
Jake Fritz – The long lanky guard for blue valley has a lot of poise and a nice style of pace to his game. He doesn’t get sped up and he does his best to keep his teammates in the right spot to execute their offense. Jake finishes above the rim if you aren’t careful, and he’s a great passer and the coach on the floor.
