Youngstown Ursuline Vs Kettering Alter
Two teams I’ve seen in the past week, I caught Ursuline’s blowout win over VASJ in the regional semis and Alter’s dominant win over Cincinnati Wyoming in the regional title game. Ursuline has a lot of talent with freshman Jaylen Gunther Jaylen Gunther 5'11" | PG Ursuline | 2027 State OH stepping up to the moment. Their size with Jaden Payne Jaden Payne 6'7" | PF Ursuline | 2024 State OH also gives them an inside-outside punch. The Knights can shoot it as well as any team in the country. Star Rj Greer Rj Greer 6'4" | SG Kettering Alter | 2025 State #167 Nation OH leads the way but guys like Gavin Leen Gavin Leen 6'1" | SG Kettering Alter | 2024 State OH , Joe Brand Joe Brand 5'11" | CG Kettering Alter | 2024 State OH and even Charlie Uhl Charlie Uhl 6'7" | C Kettering Alter | 2025 State OH can knock them down from long range. Brady Conner Brady Conner 6'6" | SF Kettering Alter | 2025 State OH could be the x-factor of this game though.
Shelby Vs Maysville
Many people wrote Lutheran West into this game, but the Whippets had another plan fueled by a strong home crowd. Maysville beat Bishop Hartley on an incredible Alex Bobb Alex Bobb 6'1" | SG Maysville | 2024 State OH buzzer-beater. Maysville also came storming back from a double-digit deficit against Warren to make it to the final four. We’ll see if the underdog Panthers can light it up from downtown one more time.
State Championship Preview
It’s going to be a battle of public Vs privates as each semifinal will give one public and one private school representative for the state title. This Division is pretty wide open as any team outside of Maysville winning the title would not surprise me.
