Here’s a look at standouts from those semifinal games.
Quenton Parker Quenton Parker 6'5" | SG STEAM Academy | 2024 State MO (Cardinal Ritter): Parker remains a key unsigned senior in the state. He put his full arsenal of tools on display scoring 20 points in a semifinal win. The slender 6’5 wing can put it on the deck, make tough pull-ups, and play above the rim. It was clear he has a skill level that’s much higher than most on the floor. He’s a guy who will develop into a solid player at a high level of college basketball.
Derrick Rivers Derrick Rivers 6'0" | SG Cardinal Ritter | 2024 State MO (Cardinal Ritter): Rivers is a bit of an under-heralded player for this Ritter team even though he has been a key starter for two seasons. The senior guard stands at no taller than 6’0 but plays much bigger. He’s an elite shooter that makes plays from beyond the arc look easy. Tough on the defensive end. His 12 points were the difference in this game.
Tayshawn Wells Tayshawn Wells 6'1" | PG Springfield Central | 2025 State MO (Springfield Central): Wells is always a key contributor on the defensive end, however, tonight he was effective on offense, especially as a jump shooter. The junior guard was finding his shots, playing with toughness, and competing on both ends. 14 points total led his team on the night. A 2025 who makes an impact on the game and wins. This was a tough loss but he had a strong performance.
Collin Perry Collin Perry 6'0" | SG Chaminade | 2025 State MO (Chaminade): Perry caught many people’s attention when it showed that he had 18 rebounds on the scoreboard. The junior is only 6’1 and was attacking the glass with authority. He’ll do a little bit of everything and that’s what allows Chaminade to win. He also reached double figures as a scorer. The glue to this team and a guy with veteran leadership.
Jahadi White Jr. (Chaminade): It was pretty obvious going into the game that White would have a size advantage over Oak Park. He took advantage of this once he got settled into the game. A big body post who has strong hands, a spin move, and powerful dunking ability. White was in double figures early on in this game. A dominant player when he has it going from inside the paint. At 6’8 he’s a lot to handle for opponents.
Corbin Allen Corbin Allen 6'5" | SG Oak Park | 2025 State #169 Nation MO (Oak Park): Allen is already a strong prospect who does everything on the floor. What’s new is that he had added a jump shot and/or started taking more 3s as of late. This was a trend he showed vs. Hickman and it continued vs. Chaminade. He’s taking and making corner threes as well as in transition. This unlocks a ton of potential for him as a prospect. A 6’5 PG who can do it all.
