2026’s
Becker Bosma Becker Bosma 6'5" | SG Groton | 2026 State SD |6’5 G| Aberdeen Christian
WHY?
He was the 2nd leading scorer for the 15-win Knights this season. Bosma averaged 12 points per game. In addition to the scoring, he led the team in 3’s made, assists, steals, and was the third-leading rebounder. Bosma has a complete game and he does it all. This kid is without a doubt a future collegiate player! Let’s see if he can put on a show at the Empire.
WHY?
Does he battle with juniors & seniors, hold his own, and stand out as a top baller?
Braysen Sagert Braysen Sagert 5'8" | CG Oakes | 2026 State ND |5’9 G| Oakes
WHY?
He played Varsity for the Tornadoes this season. Sagert can score the rock from all 3 levels. He lets the triple fly with a soft, high-arcing shot, Braysen is consistent & accurate. Sagert has extended range, he is no stranger to knocking down triples from beyond college range. He is a also hustler who works hard on both ends of the court.
How does he move his feet and how does he compare to some of the top athletes?
Brody Lillemoen Brody Lillemoen 6'6" | SF Grafton | 2026 State ND |6’6 SF| Grafton
WHY? He was a vital piece of the puzzle for the Spoilers who finished 3rd Place at State in Class A. Brody is very long, is confident from 3-point land, and I watched him shoot the ball hot this winter. He will be a Stock Riser in the next Rankings Update. I want to see how he defends around the basket and if he can score in traffic.
Does he play inside or does he just want to shoot triples, how does he handle contact?
Brooklan Bruce Brooklan Bruce 5'10" | CG Grand Forks Central | 2026 State ND |5’10 G| Grand Forks Central
WHY?
Bruce saw a good amount of varsity burn this season and scored 178 points, grabbed 29 boards, dished 26 assists, collected 17 steals, and hit 29 triples. I have always been impressed with Brooklan’s skill level and shot-creating. I have not watched him live since last summer, PHD is interested to see if he looks much bigger/stronger. Bruce should have no trouble getting loose for shots, I want to see how consistently he is hitting.
Does he value the basketball and make sharp choices?
Cameron Cordero Cameron Cordero 5'8" | CG Lisbon | 2026 State ND |5’8 G| Lisbon
WHY?
Cam had an excellent sophomore season in Class A and averaged 17.5 ppg, 1.8 apg, 2.6 rpg. Cordero is as quick as a cat, plays with heart, and he leaves it all on the floor. He is a serious threat from beyond the arc and he can hit them in bunches. Cam is always in attack mode and you should expect nothing less on Saturday.
How is his shot selection and can he keep slashers in front when defending on the wing?
Cameron Miller Cameron Miller 6'1" | PG Fargo Davies | 2026 State ND |6’1 G| Fargo Davies
WHY?
Miller is a strong & solid player, he does not look like a 10th grader. I see him as a tough defender, a good choice-maker, and a downhill creator. He is unselfish, smart, and a versatile finisher. Cam scored 68 points, grabbed 45 rebounds, dished 25 assists, and recorded 16 steals in varsity action this season. I know the Davies staff is excited about his future. I am intrigued to see Mr. Miller tomorrow and then again in AAU when he is hooping with ECI .
How is his jump shot looking, does he cash in many triples?
Chase Speelmon Chase Speelmon 6'0" | SG West Fargo Sheyenne | 2026 State ND |5’11 G| West Fargo Sheyenne
WHY?
Chase is known as a 3-level scorer, a nice shooter, and he moves well without the ball. I am interested to see his ball skills, athleticism, and defense.
Does he take care of the ball, where does he score from, and is he working hard on defense?
Haakon Seymour Haakon Seymour 6'1" | SF West Fargo | 2026 State ND |6’1 G| West Fargo
WHY?
He started the school season on the C-Team and was quickly elevated up the Packer ranks. Haakon ended up playing in 21 Varsity games and finished the season at the State Tournament. You did not always see his impact in the box score, Seymour was a difference-maker by doing the little things to help the team. Coach AP trusted Haakon with some tough defensive assignments. He always brings physical toughness to the hardwood. PHD expects Seymour to be one of the top defenders at the event.
How does he shoot the ball from beyond the arc and does he finish at the cup?
Jonathan Roubideaux, Jr. Jonathan Roubideaux, Jr. 6'7" | PF Bismarck Legacy | 2026 State ND |6’7 PF| Bismarck Legacy
WHY?
This kid oozes potential with his size/height, skills, and three-level scoring. Big John was the first front court player off the bench this school season for the Sabers. Legacy won 12 games and they made a trip to the State Tournament. John averaged 6.7 ppg, 4 rpg, .6 apg, shot 53.3% from the field, and cashed in 15 triples at 38.5% from 3. Big John is an intriguing player/prospect. Let’s see what he can do tomorrow!
How is his stamina, does he go hard the entire time he is on the floor?
Kayson Bernstien Kayson Bernstien 6'6" | PF West Fargo Sheyenne | 2026 State ND |6’6 PF| West Fargo Sheyenne
WHY?
I really like his length and his game continues to elevate. In the last Rankings Update, Bernstien was a Stock Riser. He is a LONG lefty and a relentless rebounder. Kayson is one of the Mustangs top 2026 prospects and his offensive games continue to improve. Bernstien helped the Sheyenne C-Team win the EDC Tournament. He started on the C-Team, saw JV minutes, and traveled with the varsity team to State. There is a lot to like about Kayson’s game.
Does he score outside of the paint, how does he run the floor, does he produce against older players?
Marvin Richard Marvin Richard 6'0" | CG Pine Ridge | 2026 State SD |6’2 G| Pine Ridge
WHY?
MR3 was a First Team All-State selection, he led the Thorpes to the State Tournament, and won 22 games this season. Marvin had impressive stats with 23.8 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 4.7 apg, 2.3 spg, 49 FG%, 37 3FG%, and 89 FT%. He is a big guard with mobility, ball-on-a-string-handles, and top-notch basketball instincts. He is a shot-creator, a versatile scorer, and a student of the game. I have not seen him play live since last spring but he was super impressive this year on film. If you are not watching tomorrow, you are missing out!
Is he the most skilled player in the gym and does he perform at a high level?
Miken Mattson Miken Mattson 6'0" | SG Valley City | 2026 State ND |6’0 G| Valley City
WHY?
He had a splashy year on the JV team for the Hi-Liners. Mattson had very nice numbers with 27.3 ppg, 4.2 apg, 1.8 spg. I know he is a shooter. I want to see if he can hit off the dribble and the catch. Miken plays fast and he scores well in transition. He should put up points tomorrow, I want to see if shares the ball and creates for others. Expect a quality showing from the young Hi-Liner.
Miken had a nice JV season, is he ready to make the next step and be an impact player on varsity?
Raeshaun Earl Raeshaun Earl 5'11" | SG Hankinson | 2026 State ND |5’11 G| Hankinson
WHY?
He was Second Team All-State this season and led the Pirates to 18 wins. Earl averaged 25.0 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 2.5 apg, and 3.9 spg. RaeShaun is a great athlete with impressive quickness and speed. He causes havoc on defense, is a playmaker off the dribble, and his jump shooting is improved. This winter, I was impressed with his shooting from 3-point land and his pull-up game.
Despite being a sophomore, is he still one of the best guards at the event?
Reggie Rice Reggie Rice 6'5" | PF Grafton | 2026 State ND |6’5 SF| Grafton
WHY?
He was a vital piece of the puzzle for the Spoilers who finished 3rd Place at State in Class A. Reggie was highly impressive in October at Expo in Sioux Falls. and he had some big games this winter in school ball. He can fill-it-up in a hurry with a quick release and a smooth stroke. He creates turnovers, pushes the tempo, and is an athletic finisher. Whenever I watch Reggie live, he always plays well. PHD is expecting Mr. Rice to look tough once again, this time at the Empire.
Does he show out again, does he take any possession off, and is he one of the top shooters?
Ryder Johnson Ryder Johnson 6'3" | SG Groton Area | 2026 State SD |6’3 G| Groton
WHY?
He was an important role player for the Tigers who made the State Tournament in Class A. I have never watched Johnson play live in-person but I have heard that he is skilled, smart, and a creator with a ton of potential. It sounds like Ryder is PG of the future for Groton. I am expecting him to be impressive on Saturday. I want to see him go head-to-head with some of the other elite lead guards.
How does he shoot and score the rock?
Sage Hanson Sage Hanson 6'8" | SF TGU | 2026 State ND |6’8 F| TGU
WHY?
Sage had a high-quality season, he was an All-State Player in my opinion. Hanson put up some sweet numbers with 18.5 ppg, 11.3 rpg, 1.7 apg, 1 spg, 3 bpg, 53 FG%, 62 2FG%, 31 3FG%, and 63 FT%. Sage had 15 Double-Doubles this season. Sage scores from 3 levels, can rebound against the best, and is an unselfish player. He is an impressive athlete at 6’8″ and only a soph. Hanson is sitting at 880 career points, it is safe to say that he is an accomplished scorer as a 10th grader. His future is radiant and I expect him to show out at the Empire.
Does he perform like the #1 2026 prospect in North Dakota?
