Isaiah Brown Isaiah Brown 6'1" | CG Don Bosco Prep | 2024 State NJ , 6’1 Don Bosco Prep
Brown is the top combo guard in the rankings update as he has been a steady presence for the Ironmen in 2023-24. The Howard commit has a good handle, which he uses to blow by his defender off the bounce and finish around the rim. Brown is unafraid of drawing contact and can also score in the mid-range. He plays with composure on the ball and slides his feet on defense. Brown makes plays with the ball in his hands and will continue to do so in the Non-Public A final on Friday.
Jeremy Clayville Jeremy Clayville 6'1" | CG St. Joe's Metuchen | 2024 State NJ , 6’1 St. Joe’s Metuchen
Clayville powered the Falcons all season long as he led them to a 19-9 record this season. The St. Francis (PA) commit has a smooth release on his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Clayville is more than just a shooter as he can also get into the paint off the bounce and finish in a variety of ways around the basket. He has a nice touch on his floater and is an underrated passer. Clayville had 13 20-point games in his senior season as he was one of the top scorers in Middlesex County.
Nico Peña Nico Peña 6'1" | CG St. Peter's Prep | 2024 State NJ , 6’1 St. Peter’s Prep
Peña paced the Marauders in scoring as he helped them to a Hudson County Tournament title and a 26-3 record. The 6’1 guard uses his handle effectively as he is able to get to the rim off the bounce and finish around the basket. Peña has a good release on his jumper and sets his feet before he shoots. He moves well without the ball in his hands and slides his feet on the defensive end. Peña is a gritty, guard prospect who made big plays for St. Peter’s Prep all season long.
London Carson London Carson 6'4" | CG Elizabeth | 2024 State NJ , 6’4 Elizabeth
Carson has been the go-to guy for the Minutemen all season as he has made plays for them at both ends of the floor. The 6’4 guard explodes off the floor for dunks and finishes through contact around the rim. Carson uses his size to see over his defender and he makes opponents pay for giving him space behind the arc. He works hard on the glass and can defend multiple positions on the floor. Carson is looking to conclude his varsity career with a Group 4 final in his last high school game on Saturday.
Taj Bryant Taj Bryant 6'2" | CG Patrick School | 2024 State NJ , 6’2 Patrick School
Bryant has had a solid 2023-24 season for the Celtics as he’s established himself as a reliable option in the backcourt. The 6’2 guard has a good handle, which he uses to get by his defender and finish around the basket. Bryant can also score in the mid-range and makes good decisions with the ball in his hands. He pushes the pace well in transition and slides his feet on the defensive end. Bryant’s ability to make plays at both ends of the floor makes him an intriguing guard prospect in the 2024 class.
