Continue ReadingLengthy senior has the frame and skillset to step in as a stretch 4 at the next level with his ability to score from the perimeter while also rebounding and finishing well around the rim. King moves well for his size and the length helps project him as a versatile wing defender at the next level
The senior guard’s hot shooting from beyond the arc has been the catalyst for a Cavaliers team that has won 9 of their last 11. He has built off of his catch+shoot ability to hit more movement 3s and contested looks this season while also contributing on the defensive end of the floor and as a surprisingly-good rebounder for his frame
Highlights
Really have come away impressed with the improved floor game, Mostashari has gotten much more athletic and handles it well enough to take his matchup off the bounce. He’s hitting the 3 point looks that he has always converted a high percentage on, but is now mixing in up fakes and 1 or 2-dribble pull-ups to give him a balanced offensive game
Highlights
Howard continues to show a balanced inside-outside game as a catch and shoot sniper that can also score effectively out of the midpost or serve as a play-finisher around the rim off of lobs. I expect college coaches to get involved down the stretch of the season as he projects well as a productive 3+D prospect
Highlights
Brown has transitioned from a C+S off-ball role to a solid combo guard that can create looks for himself or his teammates off the bounce. He hit two tough side step contested threes off the dribble and finished with 31p 5r 2s 1a on the night off 50% shooting from the field in a loss last week to Ireton
Highlights
The senior combo guard has been effective off the bench this year for Spalding as a guy that can space the floor (42% from 3) while also attacking hard closeouts and finishing well in the paint. His ability to come off of pindowns and elevators to hit movement shots as well as C+S opportunities makes him a key piece for the Cavaliers
Williams has been a consistent threat from the perimeter for Sidwell this season, shooting over 53% on 6 attempts a game for the Quakers. He is taking shots with much more confidence, hitting several contested looks to either cut into a lead or keep a lead for his team regardless of the closeouts. He is making good reads to mix in drives to the basket on hard closeouts and dump-offs to his bigs when their man helps out on him for easy buckets in the paint. His two-man game with Caleb Williams Caleb Williams PG MD has been a lethal combination in the half for the MAC tournament favorites.
