Olympus
While many people wrote off the Titans early in the season when they fell to Orem in the opener and later to Alta and stumble against Highland, the Titans are having a so called rough year and they are 18-3 and are still on pace to reach 20 wins heading into the playoffs.
They have been able to squeeze everything out of Reef Smyile a guard who has emerged and is getting a lot of small school attention. He has some size that allows him to get into the post and do work on smaller guards, he has a soft tough and he can get to his moves quickly. Gavin Lowe Gavin Lowe 5'10" | PG Olympus | 2026 State UT is starting ot pick things up as Olympus needs as many contributors as possible to help this team win. Jordan Barnes Jordan Barnes 6'4" | PG Olympus | 2024 State UT and Dutch Dowdell Dutch Dowdell 6'6" | SG Olympus | 2024 State #310 Nation UT continue to impress but the way Barnes took over against Alta was spectacular.
Springville
Just when you thought that they could not figure things out Springville has rattled off 6 straight including wins over Orem and Timpview. They are getting some elevated play from Mason Hansen Mason Hansen 6'1" | SG Springville | 2026 State UT who hit a recent game winner. Swift Hall Swift Hall 5'11" | CG Springville | 2027 State UT is another new name that has stepped up as the freshman has earned his play and is contributing at a high level. Jamyn Sondrup Jamyn Sondrup 6'10" | C Springville | 2026 State UT is just a load and when he gets going he makes it a lot easier for everyone else on the team. This squad is dangerous and they seem to be getting production from many players out on the floor.
Herriman
It is crazy to say this because so much talent has come and gone through the halls over at Herriman but this is already the most wins this team has rattled off all-time and they still have two games to play. Herriman had some moments against Corner Canyon and maybe Coach Doug Mecham has figured something out but they are built to make a run at state.
Ike Palmer Ike Palmer 6'6" | CG Herriman | 2024 State UT has been a big guard since he started playing as a freshman but he is putting all those skills together and is a true next level player. Malcom Johnson Malcom Johnson 6'6" | SF Herriman | 2024 State UT has really taken to playing a forward and he has been great, he will take his talent to the Naval Academy to play football. Cale Barclay Cale Barclay 6'8" | PF Herriman | 2025 State UT is due for a huge game and so is Carlo Mulford Carlo Mulford 6'0" | PG Herriman | 2026 State UT . Could this be the year of the Mustang?
Players
Malachi Spencer Malachi Spencer 6'7" | CG Weber | 2024 State UT
Hunter Schenck Hunter Schenck 6'2" | PG Weber | 2024 State UT
These two players at Weber have been playing so well together and they are a dangerous duo for sure as they can both go off for 20+ with their next level skills. Hunter is obviously a D1 signee but Spencer has been heating up and so has his recruiting.
Tradon Bessinger Tradon Bessinger 6'4" | SF Davis | 2026 State UT
This kid came up huge for Davis. Previous to these last three games he has only scored in double figures once this year but in his last three he has been a double-digit scorer and it has come in handy in these close games. Not only is he scoring well he has been an extra body out there rebounding.
Davis Katoa
Katoa has been heaven sent for Layton as he has come up clutch in so many moments and the best aspect of his game that has been improved is his outside shooting. He is a strong put your head down and attack type of player but his shooting has been so much improved. Look for him to continue to add to his PG skills and he might end up being a PG at The University of Utah.
This kid has really found his groove and he needs to keep it because they cannot keep playing up and down if they want to make a run in state. Luke can go off for 25 and his jumper game is just next level. He is a player that needs to be added to people’s recruiting board in the Class of 2026.
This kid is tough as nails and he has a such a steady motor but as of late he has taken his game to the level he needs to be at to win games. Do not count out AF with Tiger playing the way he is playing.
Kyler Hadfield Kyler Hadfield 6'6" | CG Westlake | 2025 State UT
Westlake is starting to get things going and Hadfield has been playing well enough to help his team pick up some close wins. He is a player that plays a lot bigger than he is. He has been flourishing over at Westlake as of late.
