Watson has been a player that has all the tools this Woods Cross team needs to make a valiant push into the playoffs. He has gone off for 20+ a few times this season and he has even hit multiple three-pointers on many occasions. Last night he might have just put it all together as he helped WX get a must needed win. Watson did not go over 20 but he did all of the things to help his team win and he did just enough on both ends to pull out an upset win. Wishing Watson and his squad luck but he is playing some great ball right now.
Wilkinson has been crucial for this team and he has been great in the last two games. Last night he went off for 6 three-pointers and he has been making an impact even when he is not hitting from deep as he rebounds the ball well. If he can be a 15+ and 6+ rebounds type of player moving forward he gives this Box Elder team a solid chance.
Jensen is a very impactful player because he has some length and strength taht other off the ball players do not have and you pair that up with his athleticism and will he could be a big time player. Jensen went for 20 last night as he shows he has next level talent. Drez has a shot to really help his squad as a stat filler like he was last night.
The new trend that we are seeing across the state with teams that are playing well and even taking the next level have had a 3rd option and that is what Heath has provided and will provide heading into state. Heath can be a double digit scorer but he can also be a rebounder and ball mover. With a few shooters and playmakers on his squad this is something that could be very valuable heading to state.
This kid is becoming a problem! If you are not prepared for him he will get you and he moves so well off of screens and actions that it is a task to chase him around all over the floor. He has had some solid games and he is starting to peak at the right time here for a playoff push but he is a next level talent that will be a sneaky get.
Highlights
Another payer that can help ease the load over at Snow Canyon. Reggie is making a big jump in his game and yesterday was a great breakout game for him heading to state.
Cottonwood is positioning themselves to make a big run at state and if players like Oguama can contribute like he has all year in double figures he gives them a better chance to win. He is active on the glass and his size is a game changer. Really like his game as a small school prospect.
Barfuss has been up and down this year but he is on the upswing and he has the game to really explode, especially at state. He shoots the ball well and he knows how to get up and down the floor and get that tempo to his liking.
