Edric Louissaint
Edric Louissaint
Louissaint came off the board when he announced his commitment to Keene State College. A powerful wing scorer, Louissaint plays with good pace, knows how to get to his scoring spots, and can finish with either hand around the rim. He’s the type of scorer that, once he sees the ball go through the net once or twice, is hard to stop. His combination of size and strength on the wing should allow him to be a multi-positional defender at the next level. He’s the type of wing that historically thrives in the Little East and I’d expect him to have a great opportunity to contribute right away at Keene.
Higgins, one of the MIAA’s top perimeter shooters, will head to Rhode Island for college and play for Roger Williams University. A high-level shooter from behind the arc, Higgins thrives on the offensive end as a floor spacer that makes good decisions with the basketball. He’s improved this year as a playmaker, showing the ability to score himself and also get others involved off the bounce. He’s a good team/scheme defender, utilizing his basketball IQ to be in the right spots at the right times. Most importantly, he’s a winner that comes from a really good high school program in Catholic Memorial. I’d expect him to have a terrific career in the CCC where his shooting and ball movement make him the type of prospect that historically has done well at RWU.
Jeffrey Herbin
Jeffrey Herbin
Herbin, a left-handed combo-guard, made his college plans official when he announced that he’ll be attending Regis College. A three-level scorer, Herbin is a playmaker with the ball in his hands. He’s tough in transition and does a good job pushing the pace both with the dribble and the pass. He’s a crafty scorer that has some wiggle off the bounce where he can create seperation to get into his shot. This season, he’s shown more signs as a passer with good floor vision and feel for when and where to get his teammates the basketball. This is a quality commitment for Regis, as Herbin should be capable of making an impact on both ends of the floor in the GNAC.
Jeremiah Predin
Jeremiah Predin
Predin, an athletic two-way wing, recently commited to play his college basketball at Curry College. One of the most improved local products this winter, Predin has really expanded his game on the offensive end and is now a legitimate three-level scorer. Always tough as a slasher, his jumper is much more consistent and he’s been able to use that to his advantage as a driver. He’s a good athlete that has major potential on the defensive end where he’s shown the ability to guard up and down a position as he has a solid combination of length, size, and strength. Like Higgins, he’s headed to the CCC where he should have a chance to make early contributions to a Curry program that is on the rise.
