Continue ReadingI pegged DaQuan Young DaQuan Young 6’4″ | SF Thomson | 2024 State GA as a potential breakout candidate his senior season as soon as I watched him in June at the GBCA and he hasn’t disappointed, leading Thomson a 15-0 start. Young has good size and athleticism on the perimeter. He’s extremely active and loves to get downhill. He rebounds, defends, and can create for others on offense. DaQuan is averaging 22.9 points, 10 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 5.9 steals per game.
Treylin Davis Treylin Davis 6’3″ | SG Rockmart | 2024 State GA is a difference maker on the floor, back in action after having his season cut short a year ago, Davis is an explosive scorer and a very good athlete. He plays bigger than his size and is a true three-level scorer. Treylin is shooting 40% from three (70-174) while averaging 25.6 points, 10.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.9 steals.
A move from Paulding County to Rockmart has put Burner Boy Sam in the limelight. The high-octane scorer with deep range is averaging 19.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1 steal. He has drained 67-172 of his three-pointers good for 39%.
Ashton followed his head coach/father to Worth County from Sprayberry and has been given the greenlight to score at will. Williams is pouring in 27.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 3.9 steals. Ashton has hit 45-126 of his threes (36%). He has quickly emerged as one of the most fun players to watch in South Georgia.

Averaging 4.7 points as a junior, KeyShaun has emerged as Spencer’s leading scorer his senior season, posting 14.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 3 steals per game. He’s gotten the job done in a versatile fashion. His three-point shot is locked in, netting 28-60 for a blistering 47%.
The Greenforest transfer has been a stalwart inside for ELCA, a big body that pounds the offensive glass and is an imposing interior defender. Ese finishes around the rim and can bury defenders when he seals. Only a junior, Ese has a nice future ahead of him.
