The Mercer County Tournament is set to tip and it should be an entertaining tournament to watch. The CVC has plenty of good guard play and it should be on display during the county tournament. Here are the CVC guard prospects to watch in the Mercer County Tournament.
Jordan Raba Jordan Raba 6'2" | SG Nottingham | 2024 State NJ , 6’2 SG Nottingham 2024
Raba has taken a big step up this season for the Northstars as he leads the team in threes made, assists and steals. The 6’2 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Raba is more than just a shooter as he can also put the ball on the floor and finish around the rim. He rarely makes bad decisions with the ball in his hands and gets deflections on the defensive end. Raba has six games with at least three made triples and should continue to torch the nets in the county tournament.
Jude Berman Jude Berman 5'9" | PG Hopewell Valley | 2026 State NJ , 5’9 PG Hopewell Valley 2026
Berman has the potential to have a big county tournament with his ability to make plays with the ball in his hands. The 5’9 guard has a good handle, which he uses to get into the paint and finish around the rim. Berman is more than just a slasher as he can also knock down open jumpers from behind the arc. He also has the ability to play off the ball and is an underrated defender. Berman’s ability to run the offense is something that will help his stock in a big way over the next couple of weeks.
Terrance Traylor Terrance Traylor 5'11" | PG Ewing | 2026 State NJ , 5’10 PG Ewing 2026
Traylor has taken control of the Blue Devils’ offense as he has run the offense effectively this season. The 5’10 guard has a lightning quick first step, which he uses to blow by his defender and finish around the rim. Traylor can also score in the mid-range and is unafraid of drawing contact. He finds his open teammates in the halfcourt and is a tough on-ball defender. Traylor is a gritty guard prospect who should make plays at both ends of the floor during the county tournament.
Evan Bunnell Evan Bunnell 6'3" | SG Robbinsville | 2024 State NJ , 6’3 SG Robbinsville 2024
Bunnell has had a monster senior season for the Ravens as he has 13 20-point games this season. The NYU commit attacks the basket with a purpose as he can finish above the rim and is unafraid of drawing contact. Bunnell uses his size to see over his defender and rises up with confidence on his jumper. He skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor and is an underrated defender. Bunnell is a tough guard prospect who should continue his scoring streak in the county tournament.
Jahan Owusu Jahan Owusu 6'1" | PG Princeton | 2024 State NJ , 6’1 PG Princeton 2024
Owusu has the potential for a big conference tournament with his ability to score inside and out. The 6’1 guard uses his handle effectively as he can beat his defender off the bounce and finish through contact. Owusu rarely makes bad decisions with the ball in his hands and wastes little motion in his release. He is a tough on-ball defender as he makes it hard for his man to get to his spot on the floor. Owusu has seven 20-point games this season and is looking to add to that total during the county tournament.
