On Tuesday night, the All-District 5 Team was announced. Look below, PHD will list the players and make brief comments.
District 5 teams moving onto the Region 3 Tournament: Bowman County, New England, Flasher, and Hettinger Scranton.
Congrats to Bowman County on winning the District 5 Championship over New England by a score of 91-58.
PHD wants to give a big shout-out to Bruce Schatz from Glen Ullin-Hebron, he was selected as the District 5 Coach of the Year!
We must also congratulate Bohden Duffield Bohden Duffield 6'1" | SG Bowman County | 2024 State ND on winning District 5 Senior Athlete of the Year!
All-District 5 Team
-A winner, scary 3rd option for the Bulldogs
-Causes problems on the defensive end
-Well rounded on the offensive end, capable of scoring big points
-Averaging around 19.3 ppg, 7.9 rpg, 3.5 apg, 3.3 spg
-Legit threat from the arc 33.3 3FG%, dynamic & athletic baller
-Excellent rebounder, super high % shooter, 65.8 FG%, can go off for 30+ on any given night
Highlights
-Tough & physical interior player, produces points inside & out
-Scores with either hand, will also hit the perimeter J, tough matchup
-A force to be reckoned with in the paint, good feet, a lane protector on D
-Will likely be a Mr. Basketball candidate
-21 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 3 apg, 3.3 spg, 50.2 FG%, 35.1 3FG%
-Aggressive on both ends, complete playmaker, all-around dude
-Physical player who averaged a Double-Double
-Focal point for the Raiders, tough in the post
-Leading scorer and rebounder for Richardton-Taylor
-Averaging around 22.9 ppg, 9.6 rpg, 2.8 apg, 2.1 spg, 1.4 bpg, 40.6 FG%
-An underrated athlete, deadeye shooter, has the complete package, DUDE
-Taken on a little different role this year being more of a facilitator, tough D & a fruitful rebounder
-He is a quality athlete & a serious shooter
-Long arms, pesky on D, creates TO’s, skilled with the rock
-Has deep shooting range, can hit the triple off the dribble & catch
-A BIG 6’6″ post presence
-Leader for the young South Heart team
-Strong rebounder and physical defender
-A difference-maker on the defensive end of the court
-A gifted athlete who plays hard and leaves it all on the floor
-Strong, slasher, shooter, creator, hustler
-He does it all on the court and stuffs the stat sheet
-Makes everyone around him better, plays calm/cool/collected
-Sharpshooter, versatile scorer, has a high hoops IQ
-Tough kid who makes plays on the wing & in the post
-Rebounds well and plays good defense
-Shares the ball and he is a legit threat from 3-point land
-Averaging 14 ppg, 2 apg, and 6 rpg
-Very nice shot and he can get hot in a hurry
-Held scoreless for the first 3 quarters vs. Belfield, scored 17 points in the 4th quarter
-Averaging 16.2 ppg, 1 apg, and 8 rpg
-He can be dominant in the post, great free throw shooter for a big guy
-Does a great job grabbing offensive rebounds and scoring with putbacks
-A monster of a player, intimidating size
-Had to of averaged a Double-Double, scores from all levels
-Efficient around the hoop, consistent from the line, hard to handle with single coverage
-Great length, major reason the Bearcats went 19-1 in the regular season
-Controlled the middle of the zone, boarded up on both ends
-Efficient scorer, ran the floor hard, has soft scoring touch around the basket
-Had a breakout sophomore season
-Good handles & a creative player
-A microwave, nice shooter, bright future
