In the Northwest regional, the defending 7A champs Hoover versus Austin in game 1 on Wednesday, February 14th. Hoover comes in at 26-3 and is led by talented junior guard Salim Londer. Austin finished the regular season at 27-5 and looking to make a statement.
Game 2 will feature James Clemens vs Thompson. James Clemens comes into the playoffs with a 19-11 looking to make a run against Thompson, Thompson is 25-4 on the year and looks to make another deep playoff run behind the star sophomore Colben Landrew Colben Landrew 6'3" | CG Thompson | 2026 State AL .
Northeast Regional, Chelsea will match up with Grissom on Tuesday, February 13th in game 1. Chelsea finished the regular season 13-18 and seeking to put the pieces together to face Grissom comes in 19-11 and is powered by junior guard Javon Alexander Javon Alexander 6'2" | CG Grissom HS | 2025 State AL .
Game 2 will feature Huntsville against Oak Mountain. Huntsville is rolling at 30-2 behind the stellar play of junior guard Simon Walker Simon Walker 6'5" | CG Huntsville | 2025 State #271 Nation AL . Oak Mountain is seeking an upset as a 15 seed at 14-16, this should be an exciting game.
Finally, in the South regional, Baker will take on Johnson in game 1 on Wednesday, February 14th. Baker is 24-7 with great team play Johnson Abernathy comes in looking to make a statement win to advance and upset Baker.
Game 2 will feature Enterprise vs Mary Montgomery. Enterprise comes into the playoffs at 24-5. Mary Montgomery is 23-6 on the year and will need big games from senior center Zion Hunter Zion Hunter 6'6" | SF Mary G Montgomery Highschool | 2024 State AL to advance.
The regional playoffs feature some of the top teams and players in Alabama High School Basketball. It should make for an exciting start to the state tournament bracket. The matchups and star power on display will provide thrilling games this week.
London, a 6’3” combo guard, has been outstanding all season for the defending state champion Bucs. He is averaging 18.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game while shooting 55% from the field. His versatility to score from all three levels as well as distribute has been a huge factor in Hoover’s success
Landrew, a 6’2” combo guard, has broken out in his first year of varsity action for the Warriors. He is averaging 16.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game while shooting 51% from the field. His blend of shooting and playmaking has complemented senior guards Tyler Thomas and Caleb White perfectly.
The Central Phenix City Red Devils will lean on senior forward Bryce Dawson Bryce Dawson 6’5″ | SF Central | 2025 State AL when they take on Fairhope in the first round of the 7A regional playoffs on Wednesday.
The 6’5″ Dawson has been a force in the paint all season for Central Phenix City, averaging 17.2 points and 9.1 rebounds per game while shooting 63% from the field. His combination of strength, athleticism and soft touch around the rim make him a mismatch problem.

Alexander, a 6’2″ combo guard, has been Grissom’s most consistent offensive threat this season. He is averaging 12.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game while shooting 48% from the field and 41% from three.
The Huntsville Panthers will look to junior guard Simon Walker Simon Walker 6’5″ | CG Huntsville | 2025 State #271 Nation AL as they take on Oak Mountain in the 7A regional playoffs on Tuesday night.
Walker, a 6’3″ combo guard, has stuffed the stat sheet all season long for Huntsville. He is averaging 12.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.2 steals per game while shooting 49% from the field. His versatile contributions on both ends have been vital to Huntsville’s success.
Mary G. Montgomery will lean on senior forward Zion Hunter Zion Hunter 6’6″ | SF Mary G Montgomery Highschool | 2024 State AL when they match up with Enterprise in the opening round of the 7A regional playoffs on Wednesday night.
The 6’5″ Hunter has been a force in the paint for the Vikings this season, averaging 16.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game while shooting 58% from the field. His combination of strength and athleticism allows him to dominate the glass and finish through contact.
