Evansville Harrison dominates Evansville Memorial
This one was easily the most anticipated game last night in southern Indiana and honestly, it was very one-sided for the majority. In dominating fashion, Evansville Harrison defeated Evansville Memorial 70-45 behind 2025 guard Shane Sims and his game high 25 pts. The Warriors also saw three other players score in double figures with Malachi McNair Malachi McNair 6'6" | C Evansville Harrison | 2024 State IN adding 17 pts, Eli Speer Eli Speer 6'2" | SG Evansville Harrison | 2024 IN with 16 pts, and Jay Summitt Jay Summitt 6'3" | SF Evansville Harrison | 2025 State IN finishing with 12 pts. On the Memorial side, the Tigers were led by Luke Ellsperman with 15 pts, Tucker Tornatta with 14 pts, and Clark Gries adding 11 pts. From watching this game last night, Memorial just did not have the defense to keep up with the offensive weapons Harrison had. Harrison improves to 13-2 on the year and are looking like a team that can make deep run in Class 4A.
Bishop Luers wins on tough last second jumper over Norwell
This game was without question the most exciting game of Tuesday night. It was a close battle throughout the entire game and when it came down to the final few seconds with the game tied at 47, 2025 guard Drelyn Truesdale Drelyn Truesdale 6'3" | SG Bishop Luers | 2025 State IN hit a tough step-back jumper with 2.3 seconds left to get Luers the 49-47 win over Norwell. His brother, Dareon Truesdale had a game high 17 pts with Carmani Davis adding 13 pts in the win. The Norwell Knights were led in scoring by Cohen Bailey with 14 pts with both Adam McBride Adam McBride 5'11" | SG Norwell | 2025 IN and Ashton Federspiel Ashton Federspiel 6'4" | PF Norwell | 2024 IN adding 12 pts. Portage hands Lake Central their first loss this season
Just like it has been the past week, we saw another undefeated team suffer their first lost on the year. Last night, it was Lake Central who saw their 13-game winning streak come to an end with the Portage Indians beating them 60-47. Although Lake Central was shorthanded with three starters in Dorien Beatty Dorien Beatty 5'10" | PG Lake Central | 2024 IN , Cam Thompson, and Zach Greene all out, this still a good win for a Portage team that is trying to build some momentum on a very inconsistent 8-6 season thus far.
