Bryce Watlington Bryce Watlington 6'4" | SG Walsingham Academy | 2024 State VA | 6’6” WF | Menchville
Watlington and his brother Jordan make up one of the toughest duos to matchup with in the 757, and his finesse scoring ability at his size is something that’s very intriguing moving forward. At 6’6” he is surprisingly quick and shifty off the bounce, he can drill it from deep off the catch, he is a good finisher around the rim and he can play and guard multiple positions.
My’Kel Jenkins My’Kel Jenkins 6'5" | SF Woodside | 2024 State VA | 6’5” WF | Woodside
Jenkins is one of the most naturally gifted players in the state and is one of the most under recruited in my opinion, as he has a ton of raw talent at his size and checks the boxes in a number of different ways. At 6’5” he can put it on the deck and thrives in his ability to get to spots in the midrange where he can hit tough shots, he can catch and shoot from deep, his length and athleticism allows him to play above the rim and make plays defensively and after all that he still has room to get better too.
Jermaine Detrick Jermaine Detrick 6'3" | SG Woodside | 2024 State VA | 6’3” WG | Woodside
Detrick at times gets overshadowed on a Woodside team that is as deep and talented as you’ll find, but he plays a huge role for them as he’s a knock down shooter who doesn’t back down defensively either. He’s a confident shooter who can work off the ball to get open and knock down shots consistently on the move, he’s a decent secondary ball handler who makes good decisions and he moves his feet well and contests shots on the perimeter defensively.
Demeir Pollard Demeir Pollard 6'2" | CG Landstown | 2024 State VA | 6’3” CG | Landstown
Pollard is one of the more under valued seniors in the 757, but he’s really had a great start to his senior season and has helped a young Landstown team get off to a good start. At 6’3” Pollard can play on or off the ball and offensively he can make shots from multiple levels and make others better, and his long arms and good instincts on the defensive end makes him a game changer, as well as his natural leadership qualities he displays too.
Brayden Thorne Brayden Thorne 6'1" | PG Catholic | 2024 State VA | 6’0” PG | Catholic
Thorne is another player that sometimes gets overshadowed on a team full of talented prospects, but we’ve watched him long enough to know he could be a go-to guy and bucket getter anywhere else if he chose to. He’s a highly skilled floor general who plays with great pace and is strong getting to his spots and playing through contact, he can really drill it from deep both off the catch and off the bounce and he has a great IQ as a playmaker and makes his teammates better too.
Ulysses Young Ulysses Young 6'0" | CG Oscar Smith | 2024 State VA | 5’11” PG | Oscar Smith
When it comes to floor generals and playmaking guards, you won’t find many throwback PGs that meet that description quite like Young who brings a flair and moxxy to his game that is hard to plan for. He may be small but he has a quick first step and shifty handle with the ability to change speeds and directions, he sees everyone on the floor and delivers passes with pinpoint accuracy and he picks his spots and scores it efficiently from multiple levels when he needs to.
