Klein Oak made some noise last year with forward Bryson Holmes down low, now the Panthers comeback bigger at the guard position. Let’s dive into who shined in the Klein showdown
Koye Rodeno
Koye Rodeno
This the Koye I like to watch play ! Exploded for 39 points, including 11-0 run by himself in the second quarter. Scored at all three levels efficiently. Played with great pace consistently getting to his spots. Finished well with contact at the rim. Pushed the ball up the floor creating easy scoring chances for others.
Braden Fobbs
Braden Fobbs
Fobbs is sneaky athletic two-way guard with the explosive hops to match. He displaying his stand-still perimeter shooting. Fearless finisher attacking the rim, learning to play off two-feet will benefit him. Plays tight on-ball defense with shot-blocking ability near the rim. Runs the floor hard slashing to the rim.
John versatility causes him to become a factor even without scoring the ball. Always inserts himself on the boards reaching over a crowd just to get a finger on the ball. Pushed the ball in transition, good footwork and hand-eye coordination along with great balance. Patient and calm in the post seeking where the double team is coming from, and making the right read.
Klein Oak
Bryson Holmes
Bryson Holmes
Holmes is an underrated player in the city. Alway possess the body of a college athlete, the rebound chaser can gives you inside-outside presence. Played physical on both ends of the floor. Played majority of the minutes last night for his squad, and didn’t look tired. Understands how to seal his opponent on the block. Knows how to feel his defender when posting up.
Brennan Webb
Brennan Webb
I noticed Webb during fall ball, and his performance is always consistent. Player that lives in the mid-range getting to his spots and knocking down shots. Runs hard off the screen creating separation to get his shot off. Webb created space with his own dribble to elevate over the defender. The lefty was patient on offense letting the game come to him
