Continue ReadingZerr is a solid addition to the rankings, as a starting wing/forward for AA Brandon Valley. A solid build at 6’2. A hard-working and winning player. Runs the floor and attacks loose balls and the ball in the air. A capable three-point shooter. Moves well without the ball. A great cutter to the hoop and scores often that way.
The starting 2-guard for Ethan comes in at #80 on the rankings board. Solid length and athleticism at 6’3. Can shoot the three some, can slash off the dribble, and can get up and finish at the hoop. He’ll have a more go-to role next season in his Senior campaign.
On a stacked Sioux Falls Christian roster, Bennett is a nice player in his own right. Comes off the bench and plays with good speed and energy. Handles the ball and does a good job moving the ball around quickly. Can shoot the three and get to the hoop on his own as well.
Payne is the starting big for Class AA Sioux Falls Jefferson. 6’4 with a big and thick build, he’s a banger inside that doesn’t shy away from contact or putting a body on his matchup. Battles for the rebound in the air.
Gerdes is a prospect that I recently discovered after watching a couple Sioux Falls Christian blowout games. I then watched a SFC JV game to see what Gerdes was all about. He’s a nice guard that would be in the rotation on most other teams in the state. He’s a knockdown shooter from three and is skilled with his handle and is a legit passer. He can play.
Sabers is the starting point guard and leader for McCook Central/Montrose. An all-around solid scorer, ball-handler, facilitator, shooter, etc. Can get into the lane and become a threat.
Bjorkman is a rotational bench player for O’Gorman that provides length as a 6’3 wing. Can shoot the rock and make the necessary plays as well. Should have more of a role in his Senior season, where we’ll see what he’s capable of.
Another guard for Sioux Falls Christian that would have more of a role on most teams, Witte can stroke the three-ball. A solid muscular frame. Moves the ball well and plays within the game. A good decision-maker and winning player.
Have only seen him a couple times, but Grieben is the starting big for Aberdeen Roncalli. He’s a long 6’5 that provides necessary size for Roncalli. Made some tough finishes going away from the hoop against Groton. A fairly good jumper to get up and board the ball. Could play with slightly more playing strength.
