Today we want to dig deeper into the Class of 2024 rankings and review five players who used November’s fall ball action as well as the first month and a half of the 2023-24 high school season to increase their recruiting stock significantly.
Below is a review of five “stock risers” from southeastern Pennsylvania’s Class of 2024 who you need to keep an eye on for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.
126 to 54… Julian Sadler Julian Sadler 6'1" | CG Perkiomen Valley | 2024 State PA – 6’2″ / Perkiomen Valley / East Coast Power / Combo Guard: As a junior, Sadler was one of the most decorated guards in the region (20 ppg.; 1st team All-PAC & 1st Team All-Area selections). Somehow 2023-24 has been an even bigger season for him. This lefty 3-level scoring guard is currently averaging 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. Sadler has posted several 30 spots this season and recently eclipsed the 1,000-point mark. At times Sadler has looked unstoppable. College coaches are sleeping on this multitalented guard prospect.
82 to 71… Muhsin Muhammad Muhsin Muhammad 6'4" | SF Friends Central | 2024 State PA – 6’4″ / Friends Central / East Coast Cyclones / Wing: From a scoring standpoint, Muhammad has exploded here in 2023-24. He can shoot 3s, score off the dribble and excels in the open court. When he gets to the cup, Muhammad possesses enough bounce to finish with authority. Muhammad’s highlights from this season include 30 points (3 triples) in a win over George School and 26 points (4 threes) as FCS defeated Penn Charter. Muhammad is averaging 17 points per contest on 54% shooting from deep. In addition to producing points, he is a plus defender and rebounds well (7 rpg.).
170 to 79… Travis Reed Jr Travis Reed Jr 6'4" | SG Roman Catholic | 2024 State PA . – 6’4″ / Roman Catholic / BW Elite / Shooting Guard: Reed (formerly of Frankford HS) has quickly shown that he owns the skills to thrive in the PCL. He is averaging 11 ppg. to go along with 4 rpg. while shooting 32% from behind the arc. Reed is an extraordinary athlete with serious lift, so he excels in transition. In the half court, his ability to score off the dribble is impressive. Plus, he can stroke threes from logo distance. When he is not scoring, Reed uses his high IQ and instincts to facilitate for teammates.
216 to 150… Josh McKoy Josh McKoy 6'5" | PG Berks Catholic | 2024 State PA – 6’5” / Berks Catholic / PMT Warriors / Shooting Guard: In 2022-23 McKoy averaged 10 points per contest. This season McKoy has ascended to the No. 1option at Berks Catholic and he has filled that role beautifully. McKoy (16 ppg.; season high 24 pts.) is a “big guard” who can get buckets at every level. He can score over smaller defenders in the paint or shoot jumpers over them on the perimeter. McKoy’s speed and tight handles enable him to blow past forwards for mid-range shots and lay-ins. On defense, McKoy is an extremely switchable prospect. He just picked up an offer from Mansfield University (D2).
220 to 169… Jacob Hudson Jacob Hudson 6'3" | CG Phelps School | 2024 State PA – 6’3″ / Phelps School / JL3 EYBL / Combo Guard: Hudson is a versatile guard with athleticism, length, and a solid frame. He also owns a quick first step and is a crafty ball handler. When you combine all those assets, you get a prospect who can score through contact in transition and the half-court. Additionally, Hudson is a dead-eye 3-point shooter (41% from deep). This season he is averaging 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists per contest. Hudson scored a season high 31 points against Our Saviour Lutheran (NY). He just received an offer from Iona.
