It was a tight game with some back and forth, and Dell Rapids escaped with a two-point win with a 55-53 final score. Madison had a clean look in the final seconds to send it to overtime but the shot was slightly off.
The game featured size in the paint, with 6’9 Rhett Kloth Rhett Kloth 6'9" | C Dell Rapids | 2024 State SD in the middle for Dell Rapids and 6’9 Ben Brooks Ben Brooks 6'9" | SF Madison | 2025 State SD for Madison. Kloth was erasing shots left and right, with some key blocks late in the game. The size in the paint caused both teams to rely more on their jumpers and the three-ball. There were many three-point attempts in the game.
Let’s now look at a few key standouts from the game.
6’3 shooting guard Jack Henry of Dell Rapids was the MVP and difference-maker in the game. He put in an impressive 32 points, and he took over and wanted the ball in his hands. His mid-range game was unstoppable, as he got to his spot easily and rose up to knock them down time after time. He had a thunderous one-handed slam after a steal. Henry is a D1 football commit for SDSU and is a heck of an athlete.
6’9 big Rhett Kloth Rhett Kloth 6'9" | C Dell Rapids | 2024 State SD of Dell Rapids was huge, defensively. The Senior protected the paint and had to have had at least 5-6 blocks in the game. He had a key block in the paint with 25 seconds left in the game.
Starting point guard for Dell Rapids,

, had a nice game, finishing with 10 points. He plays fast on both ends and is a rebounding point guard that can get up off the ground. He gets in the rebounding traffic to try and pull some down.
Ben Brooks Ben Brooks 6'9" | SF Madison | 2025 State SD of Madison has had more impactful games, but he also showed flashes as to why he’s a top rated 2025 prospect. He’s a skilled 6’9 prospect. Had a finish in transition where he was moving very well for a 6’9 kid. Also, had a nice move where he went off the drive, spun, and finished off the glass. Had a clean block on 6’9 Kloth. Brooks saw some lockdown D from Henry later in the game.
6’3 Sophomore guard/wing Myles Schneider Myles Schneider 6'2" | SF Madison | 2026 State SD from Madison is a prospect I really like from the 2026 class. He comes off the bench and enters the game early in the 1st quarter. He had a nice game, with some slashing finishes, floater, and two baseline reverse layups. With one being a finish on the left side with his left hand.
