Barron Duda (Webb City): The 6’3′ shooting guard was one of the top scorers in the tournament at 22 points a game during the weekend. He has good size and excellent shooting range from well beyond the 3-point line. He can do it off the catch and he creates well of the dribble. His step-back game is very nice. He can also score inside as he uses his size to shoot it over smaller defenders.
Jeremiah Poniewaz Jeremiah Poniewaz 6'1" | CG Francis Howell | 2024 State MO (Francis Howell): The 6’0″ guard was very impressive in the championship game against Poplar Bluff with his all-around game. He was getting into the lane and finding open shooters with the pass off of his penetration. He is a slashing threat on the drive with a nice fade-away step back jumper. He could also break the press by himself with his good ball handling ability. He can also create turnovers with his defense.
Trey Taylor Trey Taylor 5'11" | PG William Chrisman | 2024 State MO (William Chrisman): A 6’1″ combo guard who has good quickness and a quick first step, which he used on penetrating drives to the basket. He can change directions very well while going to full speed on his way to the basket. His on-ball defensive pressure was also very good. He scored 12 points in William Chrisman’s victory over Union in the third-place game.
Whit Hafer Whit Hafer 6'7" | PF Joplin | 2024 State MO (Joplin): A 6’7″ forward who is an anchor inside for the Eagles at both ends of the court. He uses his big body well inside as a rebounder and a low post scoring threat. He really passes the ball well as he can locate open shooters from the low post or from the middle of the zone defense, where he turns quick and looks to the opposite side.
Preston Moore (Poplar Bluff): A 6’4″ forward who was very aggressive on the drive where he finished on some tough takes in the lane. He was patient as he used his jab step to set up his moves, which he can go in either direction. He was also very productive on the offensive boards to get putbacks.
Isaiah Nevel (Poplar Bluff): A 6’1″ lefty shooting guard who was always in attack mode and probing the lane to driving lanes. He’s a very fearless player who uses his body well to create contact to get to the free throw line. He can also shoot the 3-pointer if the defense gives him a little space. He will also get his own rebound to put back his own miss.
