As we near February, the tension gets cranked up, each game seems more and more important. The seniors only have a handful of regular season games left in their careers.
The season has flown by! We are getting to the time of year where we see the gamers and clutch players step up and that is what we had last night.
With that being said, we are highlighting 15 players in this article. They performed fantastically on Friday.
Friday Night Fantastic
The Demons make is 6 in a row and they took down undefeated #1 Minot by a score of 74-56! Since Christmas, Dre has played spectacular and that continued last night. Austin had a quality Double-Double, 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Shoutout to Mr. Baldwin, he scored his 1,000th career point last night, welcome to the 1K Club! The Spoilers lost in a battle to #1 Kindred. 74-68 was the final. Despite the loss, Baldwin was fantastic. He scored a game high 28 points and drilled 5 triples.
The freaky athletic frosh led #1 Kindred in scoring with 18 points. Vikings won 74-68 over Grafton. Bakko is only a 9th grader but he plays like a senior vet. He has all the skills, smarts, and size that you could ask for. He added to his highlight reel last night with a breakaway 2-handed WHAM. Bakko is a beast!
Fargo North dominated against Shanley and won by a score of 90-71. Super Man Zeller had another superb night. Carter racked up a Double-Double and went for 30 points and 15 rebounds.
Highlights
The talented southpaw had another splashy scoring game. Mr. Benning poured in 26 points. The Saints lost to Legacy, but Chris showed once again that he is an uber-talented baller.
The Eagles soared to a 85-66 victory over Red River. Yorke had another highly productive performance and he recorded a Double-Double. Dan went for 29 points and 10 rebounds.
Jaxon had a great night and went for 28 points and 9 rebounds en route to the Davies blowout win over Grand Forks Red River.
The #1 ranked Vikings beat #4 ranked Spoilers by a score of 74-68. Ouse performed his best when it really mattered. Karson scored 11 of his 15 points in the 4th quarter.
Musland is having a fantastic senior season and that continued last night. Max and the Loboes took down Medina/PB 55-38. Musland went for 20 points and 7 rebounds. Max consistently performs at a high level. If I was voting right now, Musland would be an All-State player.
#5 Hankinson lost a close one to #8 Sargent Central by a score of 43-41. The Pirates took the loss but Earl the Pearl had another fantastic performance and scored a game high 26 points.
Highlights
The Tornadoes are having a great season, after last nights 77-50 win over DVE, Cavalier has a 11-4 record. Talan had a game high 23 points. DeVine shot it hot, he started the game with a 3-pointer and never looked back. DeVine has deep extended range, he has hit many 3’s from 4 or 5 feet beyond the arc. He does a good job of getting open for shots, he creates openings for others as well with all the attention his gets from opposing defenses.
The Demons had a huge night, they knocked off #1 Minot and gave them their first loss of the season. Eaglestaff played a big role in win, he scored all of his 15 points in the second half.
The Mustangs won the rivalry game last night over their neighbors to the north. Sheyenne 80 West Fargo 77. Tommy had another Double-Double, 25 points and 11 rebounds. Ahneman continues for perform like an All-State player.
Leal is the real deal! He balled out once again last night. Tony scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. No surprise here, Leal puts up another Double-Double. The Packers lost, but Leal proved once again that he is one of the best BIGs in ND.
Take a look below at the second video. Anderson gets the entry pass, turns, and fires from the opposite FT-line and nails it, CRAZY! Zack finished the game with 12 points. Cavalier won 77-50 over Drayton-Valley-Edinburg. Anderson leads the Tornadoes with 6 apg and 8 rpg. He see the court well, distributes, and crushes on the boards.
