Continue ReadingThese are six names in the 2026 class you might not know, but you need to. These are players that are having big games, making huge impacts or simply cracking the top 5-7 rotation as a sophomore at a big school. We believe all these players are future stars in the making if they aren’t already and have bright futures including playing at the next level.
Kingston Christen Kingston Christen 5’11” | CG Magnolia | 2026 State WV is a dynamic combo guard type player. Crafty enough to get space and create a shot, but also savvy enough to find open teammates when creating for them. But Christen’s strongest attribute is shooting. He shoots at a high rate especially from deep. We’d project him as a future all stater if he’s not this year and a solid next level player past high school.
Highlights
Isaiah Turner Isaiah Turner 5’11” | PG Teays Valley Christian | 2026 State WV is a fast athletic guard that gets to the rim with ease and will stretch a defense from deep when he has to. Playing on a super talented TVCS team, Turner doesn’t need to score as much as most small school players that get on the floor but his time is coming to be the lead dog in a program that’s quickly became a private school power in WV.
Jeremy Phillips Jeremy Phillips 6’1″ | CG Frankfort | 2026 State WV has absolutely done everything in his power to make himself be known and done it all on the floor. Leading his team in scoring many times this year, Phillips has became the top player at Frankfort scoring in a variety of ways. The long lanky guard/small forward player has been someone every opposing coach has had to plan for.
Jeremiah Babo Jeremiah Babo 6’4″ | PF Frankfort | 2026 State WV is a strong athletic forward/big that is starting to get a feel for the high school level game and make differences in games. A strong inside force and rebounder, Babo doesn’t hesitate to mix it up and get the dirty work done.
Tyler Keiser Tyler Keiser 6’3″ | SF Williamstown | 2026 State WV who we’ve seen in person this year is one of the best players on one of WV’s top AA squads this year. Keiser comes off the bench but would start for probably any other squad in AA. He has a full skillset as well as shoots it at a high rate. His length will be a match up problem for opponents at some point when Keiser gets more minutes or cracks the starting lineup.
Greyson Parris Greyson Parris 6’5″ | C Bluefield | 2026 State WV is a budding star at the longtime basketball powerhouse that is Bluefield High School. Parris plays on a very talented squad and while not always getting minutes in bunches, has the size and talent to be an impact player at any minute. We think by tournament time Parris will be an X-factor in some games and maybe a difference maker.
