No. 15 DeMarco Johnson DeMarco Johnson 6'3" | CG Santa Margarita | 2025 State #87 Nation CA-S | Santa Margarita
Johnson was in our original 2025 rankings when he was a freshman at Heritage Christian, but after he transferred to a non-CIF Southern Section school he was out of any further updates. The 6-foot-3 combo guard is now back with a state association affiliated school in Santa Margarita and thus made a triumphant return to the rankings. Johnson is a dynamic on or off-ball creator for himself and teammates and a quick-twitch athletic slasher who has made an immediate impact for the Eagles.
No. 21 JJ Harris JJ Harris 6'5" | SF Windward | 2025 State CA-S | Windward
Harris is an intriguing next-level prospect because of his ability to impact the game without needing to dominate the ball. The 6-foot-5 wing is best as a downhill slasher and finisher in transition and half-court offense where he can use his explosive first step and length when elevating and extending to the rim. Harris is also a capable shooter off the catch from three-point range. What I believe is his best attribute, however, is his defensive versatility. His rangy frame, lateral speed and feel as a primary and help defender are impressive.
No. 30 Giovanni Ofoegbu Giovanni Ofoegbu 6'3" | CG Long Beach Poly | 2025 State CA-S | Long Beach Poly
Ofoegbu has emerged as one of the more versatile players in this class. The 6-foot-3 guard/wing is a physical and athletic specimen and uses that combination of explosiveness and strength to attack the rim and finish through or over contact. Ofoegbu has shown consistent improvements to his shot off the catch from three-point range.
No. 36 James Bass James Bass 6'8" | C Campbell Hall | 2025 State CA-S | Campbell Hall
Bass transferred in to Campbell Hall from Florida and we saw in the fall that his size, motor, length and athleticism would be impactful for the Vikings on both ends of the floor. Bass is an active rim-runner who can catch, gather and finish with space and sprints to ball-screens in half-court offense and rolls to the rim and serves as a lob threat. Where Bass is best is as a rim protector and defensive rebounder.
No. 49 Anto Balian Anto Balian 6'2" | CG Pilibos | 2025 State CA-S | Pilibos
Balian has made headlines this season with his explosive scoring ability and we saw it first hand at the North Orange County tournament at Sonora High. The 6-foot-2 combo guard is a confident shot-maker off the bounce whose range is seemingly endless. In the game we watched, Balian was battling against double and triple teams but still managed to a 39-plus point effort with a bucket and assist that proved to be game-winning decisions.
