Owen Gray Owen Gray 6'10" | C Steward | 2024 State VA | 6’8” C | Steward School
Gray has impressed so far this season both in the fall preseason and when the regular season started, as he’s putting up consistent numbers and making an impact on both ends of the floor. His upside is really intriguing as he is a good athlete at his size with the ability to get up and down the floor and play above the rim, he can step out and make shots when he’s left open and he has a lot of upside defensively as he continues to develop.
Kennard Wyche Jr. Kennard Wyche Jr. 5'5" | PG Varina | 2024 State VA | 5’8” PG | Varina
When it comes to resumes of point guards in the state, not many can stack up to Wyche who is a two time defending state champion and the reigning Class 4 State Player of the Year. He’s a flat out winner who is highly skilled and cerebral at the point guard position, he has great footwork and good burst to get in the lane, he draws contact and gets to the line a lot and he can score the ball off the bounce from all three levels and uses angles well to negate his size in the paint.
Dakota Sellers Dakota Sellers 6'4" | SG Carmel | 2024 State VA | 6’5” WF | Carmel School
Sellers is a late bloomer with a lot of upside moving forward, and this year he’s playing more of his traditional position on the wing where he usually played in the post his last few seasons at John Paul the Great. He is chock full of upside as he is an explosive athlete who plays above the rim effortlessly and with authority when he gets downhill, he can knock down shots off the catch when he’s left open and he has big time potential defensively as a lock down perimeter defender and a shot blocker at his position.
Eiden Harvey Eiden Harvey 5'10" | PG Hermitage | 2024 State VA | 5’10” PG | Hermitage
Harvey is one of the more underrated players in Richmond as he put up big numbers for Hermitage last season and is only getting better this season. The 5’10” guard can attack the rim and touch the paint going either way and he’s equally capable of making plays for himself or others when he gets there, he can move off the ball and knock down shots when he’s left open and he’s a good on ball defender too.
Demarion Hunt Demarion Hunt 6'4" | SF LC Bird | 2024 State VA | 6’4” WG | LC Bird
Hunt has been hampered with injuries since the summer and dealt with some during the preseason as well, but he’s off to a great start for an LC Bird team that many thought would be down but are undefeated right now. He checks a lot of boxes as a next level player as he has prototypical size and is a good athlete with long arms, he can catch and shoot from deep and is excellent getting to spots and making contested shots in the midrange and he has shown the ability to take a blue collar role as a defender and rebounder too.
Cameron Mise Cameron Mise 5'11" | PG Hargrave | 2025 State VA | 5’11” PG | Varina
Mise planned on reclassifying at Hargrave but decided to come back home and attend Varina where he teams up with Wyche to make one of the best backcourts in the RVA area. He’s an absolute gamer who ups his play the tougher the competition is, he gets downhill aggressively and scores it through contact, he can make shots from deep and in the midrange and he’s a very good rebounder for his position too.
