It provided a tremendous opportunity to lay eyes on a ton of new players. Several players used the event to raise their profile, here’s a look at some junior sleepers from the event.
Green didn’t play a ton for the Aggies this week, but he had an impact when he was on the floor. The wing, was a willing defender and rebounder, this is incouraging considering his best strength is his catch and shoot ability.
Got my first extensive look at the Ohio transfer. He has length and versatility. The little known wing is set to make an impact in 4A by the time conference season rolls around.
Johnson made an impact during the short stint I saw him. The floor spacer, showed good form, knocking down multiple threes in just under 1 half of basketball against Eldorado.
Pacheco added firepower to a talented Hug squad. The PG was able to change the scoreboard with his three point marksmenship. His shooting will be key to the success of the Hawks, making him a sleeper to keep an eye on going forward.
Walker applied big time perimeter pressure, on opposing ballhandlers throughout the event. The guard is one of the sleeper defenders to watch this season.
