Here is a look at some of the standouts that caught our eye in Friday night’s games, which we watched via the Magical Stream Machine (Citylink-TV).
Collin Clark Collin Clark 6'7" | SF Greenwood | 2025 State MO (Greenwood): A 6’7 2025 forward who had 30 points and 11 rebounds in a victory over Plattsburg. He’s a versatile combo forward with the ability to create off the dribble and also knock down catch and shoot 3-pointers. He was getting into the lane and raising up over defenders for the jumper. He also moves well off the ball.
******
Isaia Howard Isaia Howard 6'5" | SG Plattsburg | 2024 State MO (Plattsburg): The 6’5 2024 guard scored a game-high 39 points against Greenwood. He was on fire in the first half as he hit four 3-pointers and scored 27 points. That was when Greenwood employed a triangle and two defense with two people face-guarding Howard. That’s respect. He also made impact plays on defense with his footwork and anticipation.
******
Annor Boateng (Little Rock Central): The 6’6 2024 Mizzou recruit scored 25 points to lead Central to a win over Cardinal Ritter. He’s an explosive athlete who threw down numerous dunks in the game. He was a problem on the offensive boards and he hit a big 3-pointer late in the game to give his team the lead to stay.
******
Quenton Parker Quenton Parker 6'5" | SG STEAM Academy | 2024 State MO (Cardinal Ritter): The 6’4 2024 guard has continued to raise his profile with his explosive “3 and D” ability. He was hitting the catch and shoot 3-pointer while also throwing down alley-oop dunks. He also has a nice middle game where he can pull up and elevate over defenders for the jumper.
*******
Clayton Garrison Clayton Garrison 6'2" | SG Chadwick | 2025 State MO (Chadwick): The 6’3 2025 guard led the Cardinals to an impressive victory over Lutheran North. He scored 14 points, but he made a tremendous impact on the boards as he was grabbing rebounds left and right. He really excels with the pull jumpers and runners in the lane with his strong athleticism, which is among the best in the SWMO area.
******
Jackson Shorter Jackson Shorter 6'6" | PF Kickapoo | 2025 State MO (Kickapoo): A 6’7 2025 forward who earned Game MVP honors after the Chiefs big victory over Kirkwood. He’s a workhorse performer in the lane with his scoring and tenacious rebounding. He’s strong in the paint and he has some nice moves off the bounce from the high post.
******
Bryce Spiller Bryce Spiller 6'4" | SG Lutheran North | 2024 State MO (Lutheran North): The 6’5 2024 guard scored a game-high 25 points against Greenwood. The Air Force commit is a hard cover with his ability to use his size to score in the paint on the drive. He was also getting buckets from 3-point range.
