We were on hand Wednesday for the four quarterfinal matchups and below are the top performers we saw.
Amare Campbell Amare Campbell 6'0" | PG Etiwanda | 2024 State CA-S | 2024 | Etiwanda
The lightning quick lefty led the Eagles with 16 points and played the usual brand of tough, physical and high-pressure on ball defense that we’ve all come to expect from the Etiwanda program. Campbell is a great change of gear guard and downhill driver to his left hand which he uses to blow by defenders and get into the lane where he can finish through or around contact.
Anto Balian | 2025 | Pilibos
Balian has been making quite a bit of noise this week. First, he dropped 51 points in a win over previously unbeaten Paraclete on Tuesday and followed that up with a 39-point effort in a win over then 10-1 Edison of Huntington Beach. In that game, the 6-foot-2 combo guard was seeing two and three defenders thrown his way but his ability to elevate into his jump shot from mid and three-point range allowed him to rise and shoot over them. Balian hit a fading left-wing triple to cut Edison’s lead to two and then made the assist to his teammate for the game-winning three.
Dakari Harris Dakari Harris 6'8" | SF Villa Park | 2025 State CA-S | 2025 | Villa Park
Harris is a but of an under-the-radar prospect in Orange County. The 6-foot-7 forward has an intriguing combination of size, length, skill and traditional interior presence as a rebounder, rim protector and positional defender. Harris opened up the tournament with a near double-double in a win over Colony and followed that up with 13 points and seven rebounds in Villa Park’s two-point win over Fairmont Prep.
Jaden Goodall Jaden Goodall 6'5" | SF Anaheim Canyon | 2024 State CA-S | 2024 | Anaheim Canyon
The smooth lefty wing was his usual, versatile self as he tallied 16 points in Canyon’s big win over Capistrano Valley. The senior has developed the ball skills, shooting ability and possesses the basketball IQ to be a true dribble, pass and shoot wing who can create for himself and teammates off the dribble.
Jaidon Nassar Jaidon Nassar 6'4" | SF Etiwanda | 2024 State CA-S | 2024 | Etiwanda
Nassar is emerging as one of the more important pieces to Etiwanda’s success this season. The 6-foot-4 senior is one of the Eagles’ best spot shooter from three-point range and, with so many athletic driving threats on the floor, his ability to stretch the floor will force the opposing defense to extend and close out to him which opens up the floor for the rest of the team. Nassar hit three 3-pointers in the opening half and finished with 12 points in the Eagles’ quarterfinal win.
