Gravil is having a big start to his Junior campaign after transferring from Warren East. Currently averaging right around 10 ppg after having a huge outing against Fort Knox where he lead his team in scoring with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Gravil has a great combination of size and athleticism for the wing / power forward position. As he continues to develop his jump shot, he will only become more of a threat. Has a lot of potential.
Brady Boruske
Brady Boruske
I have been overly impressed with Boruske’s play as a Freshman. He is composed and plays with great pace, changing speeds to release pressure. Plays well beyond his years and runs the team for the Mustangs. Although he hasn’t been scoring it at a clip recently since his first game, he has done a much better job getting players involved and is settling into his role. He will be a force for a while in the 10th region.
Mcgillis is off to a fast start this season as he continues to gain experience as a Sophomore. He is bit of a swiss army knife for the Colonels filling a bunch of different roles as they wait for their football players to return from the State Tournament. He had a good showing vs Great Crossing but he will be exceptionally better when he gets his 3pt shot on track. Has a ton of potential.
Highlights
Braxton Reade
Braxton Reade
Reade is playing with a lot more confidence this season and has expanded his game. He has a much better feel this year and looks to be more confident putting the ball on the floor and being aggressive to score. With his combination of size and athleticism, he has the capability of being a double-double threat every night. Could see him increasing his averages pretty substantially throughout the season.
Collins is accepting a much larger role this season as Lloyd tries to secure a spot in the State tournament by winning the 9th region. Collins is a knock down shooter with deep 3pt range. Is shifty to get his shot off and is a threat to go for 15 to 20 points any given night. Is off to a fast start and could see him breaking some 3pt records by the time he is done at Lloyd.
Yashiro Hurst Jr.
Yashiro Hurst Jr.
Hurst is an athletic guard that lives in the paint. Has a great first step that allows him to get to the rim to either score or kick out to open shooters. He is a willing passer that will look to push in transition to either score or facilitate. Has 3pt range also when he is in rhythm. I love his game with how much pressure he puts on the defense.
