Kemper is a 2-guard who thrives with the ball in his hands. He is wired to be aggressive, and that translates to an incredibly high free throw rate. Kemper has a knack for drawing contact and is crafty enough to finish a significant amount of “and ones.” His teammates love to share the court with him as his downhill exploits make the game easier on them. Kemper is also a handful on the defensive end, where his ball pressure causes immense stress on ball handlers. Occasionally suiting up for varsity this season, he will be counted on to play significant varsity minutes when next season rolls around.
Jack Darby Jack Darby 5'10" | SG Wilson | 2026 State AL (5’10/SG/’26/Wilson HS)
IG: Jackdarby19
Jack is an electric off-ball guard who loves to play off of his threat of penetration. The quick guard is difficult to stay in front of and has a knack for finishing tough takes around the basket. Jack does a good job of adjusting throughout the course of a game, and as defenses adjust, he counters as well. When defenders inevitably sag off to prevent the drive, he is more than happy to let it fly from deep, where he has a clean and repeatable stroke.
Coleby Davis (6’1/SG/’27/East Limestone HS)
IG: coleby_davis_1
Coleby possesses solid positional size for the JV level and uses that to his advantage on tough takes to the basket. He constantly shows his full gamut of offensive moves, as he can go for huge numbers. The sky’s the limit for this electric young prospect.
Blake Davis (6’3/PF/’28/St John Paul II Catholic HS)
Blake is the youngest player I will touch on during this article as only an 8th grader playing up on JV. However, don’t think for a second that his age prevents him from imposing his will on the basketball court. Possessing a very mature frame, Blake owns the boards on both ends of the court and doesn’t back down from any challenge, regardless of height or age. Blake does all the standard big man things very well: rebound, protect the basket, set hard screens, etc. Blake has the potential to ultimately become one of the top bigs in the Huntsville area.
Kam Phillips (5’10/PG/Madison County HS)
Kam is a heady point guard who does an admirable job of elevating the skill level of his teammates. Despite being far and away the top scoring option on his team, Kam still tries to keep his teammates happy and fed in their ideal spots on the court. Kam often draws double teams and is more than capable of making the right reads. Kam is also an adept scorer who is at his best working downhill, where he has an impressive stop-and-pop jumper.
Gage Aday Gage Aday 5'11" | PG Shoals Christian | 2026 State AL (5’11/PG/’26/Shoals Christian HS)
Gage is a solid player all the way around. He simply accomplishes whatever you ask of him, whether that be hunting his own shot, quarterbacking the offense, or taking a tough defensive assignment. Gage is a great teammate who quickly lifts the spirit of those around him. Simply put, Gage is a guy who will succeed as he progresses to the varsity level based on his intangibles alone.
