I attended the Coyote Classic at Central and Camelback on Monday and Tuesday. I was at Mesa HS for the Fear the Hop tournament on Wednesday, The Valley Christian Tournament at Seton Catholic, Welcome to the Jungle at Gilbert HS on Friday and lastly I attended the The LV8 Invitational at Chandler-Gilbert CC on Saturday.
Here are some of the bench standouts I viewed:
Joshua Stewart Joshua Stewart 5'11" | CG Mesa | 2027 State AZ Mesa (Pictured)
The talented freshman comes in as one of the first guards and changes the game. He will most likely start next year and can score with a fluid handle. He can hit the catch three with a quick release and has a nice floater game after he uses his quick first step.
Jaelen Green Jaelen Green 6'2" | SF Gilbert | 2024 State AZ Gilbert
A versatile wing forward came in off the bench in the 1st place game and plays multiple positions. He can shoot it from mid-range off the dribble with pull-ups. He gets himself to the free throw line with tough drives and euros plus makes smart reads to teammates. He will rebound and block shots with a quick second jump.
Malachi Johnson Malachi Johnson 6'2" | SF McClintock | 2024 State AZ McClintock
A long wing forward is their six man of the team. He comes in and brings energy to the court. He collects steals and rebounds the ball and then can push it up the court to make a play or score it in transition.
Jeremiah Robertson Jeremiah Robertson 6'5" | PF Casteel | 2025 State AZ Casteel
A long and fluid forward has quick bounce to spring up to rebound and block shots in his area. His quick leaping ability allows him to achieve most of his traits. He will score around the basket and brings good energy.
Christian Garven Christian Garven 6'1" | CG Mesquite | 2024 State AZ Mesquite
He comes off the bench and is instant offense. He is a pure shooter with a high feel. He is a good passer and moves the ball. He has the floater game but this guard has a strap from the three point line.
Rylan Parsley Rylan Parsley 6'5" | SG Sandra Day O'Connor | 2026 State AZ Sandra Day O’Connor
A long scoring guard will be the future starter next season most likely. He is a natural catch and shoot three point shooter with real range to combine with his elite size for position.
Trystan Williams Trystan Williams 6'2" | SF North | 2024 State AZ North
A long defensive minded wing who moves really well and will block shots and rebound. He can create his own offense off the dribble and take it coast to coast and score it in the lane.
Bear Fisher Bear Fisher 6'5" | PF Queen Creek | 2026 State AZ Queen Creek
A skilled power forward to the three point line. He has good size for position and is physical inside the paint. He is a plus rebounder on both sides of the court. He will score on put backs and can push it up the court somewhat.
London Haskell London Haskell 6'6" | PF Mesa | 2026 State AZ Mesa
A long and athletic lefty post player who is oozing with upside. He runs the court and has big hands and feet. He rebounds well in and out of his area and is a top notch shot blocker.
