I attended the Coyote Classic at Central and Camelback on Monday and Tuesday. I was at Mesa HS for the Fear the Hop tournament on Wednesday, The Valley Christian Tournament at Seton Catholic, Welcome to the Jungle at Gilbert HS on Friday and lastly I attended the The LV8 Invitational at Chandler-Gilbert CC on Saturday.
Here are some of the top sophomores I viewed that I have not mentioned yet:
Colton Watson Colton Watson 6'6" | SF Sandra Day O’Connor | 2026 State AZ Sandra Day O’Connor (Pictured)
A bigger point forward type can rise up high from mid-range and take unusually long strides to get into the lane. He is a quick second jumper and he can in and out dribble and get to the basket. He is very patient inside to score versus bigger players. He will get downhill and play off of two feet and explode up to dunk it. He is a very good rebounder and a stud in transition.
Brandon Stapleton Brandon Stapleton 6'4" | CG Chandler | 2026 State AZ Chandler
A lefty combo guard can drive the lane, shoot it from the perimeter and makes plays. He will get downhill and dish it at the right time for the dime. His first step after a crossover is tough to defend and shows nice upside.
Noah Gloor Noah Gloor 5'9" | PG Higley | 2026 State AZ Higley
One of the easier scorers in the class from all levels. He is a pure shooter in the corner and floater game is tough and makes off balanced shots look normal. He uses his toughness and shift to score inside and rebounds the ball well despite his size. He keeps his dribble alive amidst heavy pressure and then will burst past the defender.
TJ Harris TJ Harris 6'0" | PG Paradise Honors | 2026 State AZ Paradise Honors
A scoring point guard makes tough shots in the lane after a fast burst or gets himself to the line. He has a polished runner, a pull-up from mid-range and deep three point range. He has quick hands to collect steals in the open court that usually lead to points on the other end. He is a good passer with either hand and will throw up the court passes on a rope.
Tarrell Green Jr Tarrell Green Jr 6'5" | PF Lowndes | 2026 GA Highland Prep
A power forward is trending up. He is crazy athletic to dunk it and alter or block shots in his area. He looks like he grew a little and will finish around the basket efficiently with his left hand. He closes out to shooters to alter their shots and will score it often on reverse layups so the defense doesn’t block his shot.
Kaleo Mills Kaleo Mills 6'5" | SF Paradise Honors | 2026 State AZ Paradise Honors
A long looking wing forward who seems to be stretching out. He is a sneaky good passer and really defends well in space. He can rebound and make open shots or finish in transition.
Kareem Alkhalifa Kareem Alkhalifa 6'4" | SF Pinnacle | 2026 State AZ Pinnacle
A fluid wing who runs the court well. He has great length and will defend multiple positions. He can pull-up off the dribble and rise up and shoot it from mid to the three. He can use his left hand on hook shots and ball fakes and get to the basket.
Tillman Huish Tillman Huish 6'1" | CG Gilbert | 2026 State AZ Gilbert
A combo guard can make plays up the court to find running teammates and score. He can rise up and shoot it from mid-range. He can dribble to the basket with either hand and finish with both.
Joshua McManaway Joshua McManaway 6'3" | SG McClintock | 2026 State AZ McClintock
A scoring guard can step back and shoot the three and hits shots off the catch per normal. He was showing more aggression taking the ball to the basket with dribble drives and he is rebounding more now too.
Kyler Frye Kyler Frye 5'11" | PG McClintock | 2026 State AZ McClintock
A scoring point guard with a good feel for the game. He has a quick burst to get into the lane and can pull-up off the dribble from mid to the three. He can score the ball traffic with spin moves and change speeds well. He made a few impressive up the court passes in stride to teammates and has a calming feeling with the ball.
Prince Cash Prince Cash 6'5" | SF Carl Hayden | 2026 State AZ Carl Hayden
A long wing had a good showing. He can hit the catch three and is very active grabbing rebounds in and out of his area. He has a runner game and will score on putbacks and tough shots in the lane with difficult layups. He runs the floor to gain position inside and he will rise up from mid-range off the dribble.
Aveon Williams Aveon Williams 6'6" | PF Casa Grande | 2026 State AZ Casa Grande
The football standout has an impressive physique. There are not many more physically gifted then him in the entire state. He can go coast to coast with a surprisingly good handle and score in heavy traffic with his football build. He can shoot it from the perimeter with threes and pull-up from mid-range. He is nearly impossible to move inside the paint. He will rip some pockets with his strength and length.
