The event features some of the top local teams as well as a few out of state ones as well. I was able to attend the event for the semifinals on Friday, Dec. 22 and here’s a look at some of the top talent I saw.
1.
Mateo Trujillo

– Rolling Hills Prep 2025
Trujillo was one of the best point guards I saw at the event. Such a steady floor leader and ball-handler. He runs the offense efficiently and keeps the ball moving, able to control the pace of the game. Gets to his spots on the court and can dribble under defensive pressure. Consistently finds the open teammate. He can score too, hits the pull-up jumper and has a good three-point shot.
2. Donte Graham – Overland (CO) 2025
Graham was a good scorer in the open court, loves to get out in transition and is a finisher on the break. He can handle the ball as a wing and is comfortable with getting his own shot. Attacked off the dribble consistently and used step-through moves to get to the basket. Extends using his length to finish over the defense.
3.

Toler has good size and the ability to be a potential game-changer in the paint. He moves off the ball well making solid cuts and dives around the rim. He’s a floor spacer too with the ability to hit the midrange jumper and step out and shoot the three off the catch. Defensively, he can be a rim protector challenge shots at the basket.
4. Michael Aikhionbare – Washington Prep 2024
Aikhionbare has good size for a wing and can play up in the frontcourt. He’s an active rebounding using his length to grab boards through traffic. He has a good jumpshot; he can turn and face up and shoot the midrange and he can step out and shoot from three-point range. Able to to raise up and shoot over the defense.
