Independence
The Eagles and scoring leader Jett Montgomery Jett Montgomery 6'1" | PG Independence | 2024 State TN are on a great run lately. They defeated White Station, Christian Brothers, and Green Hill, in that order. Jett scored 28 points, 26 points, and 15 points respectively. He is now the All-Time Scoring Leader for Independence High, after passing Grayson Murphy this week.
Brentwood
Brentwood played solid, consistent basketball to defeat Tennessee Heat, 66-50. Mr. Basketball-Candidate Daniel Cochran Daniel Cochran 6'7" | SF Brentwood | 2024 State TN scored 27 points while sophomore Hudson McKnight Hudson McKnight 6'0" | PG Brentwood | 2026 State TN managed 10.
Ravenwood
With a Thursday win, Ravenwood improved to 10-0 on the season. According to their Twitter account, this is the longest winning streak in school history. Rocco Lamuno Rocco Lamuno 6'3" | SG Ravenwood | 2024 State TN scored 24 points and Evan Gainer Evan Gainer 5'9" | PG Ravenwood | 2024 State TN scored 14 points.
Franklin
Franklin dropped a tough one to Cookeville Thursday after defeating Knowledge Academies, 76-42 Wednesday. District play will be a monster, as we anticipated. Franklin will not get many easy games the rest of the way.
Nolensville
The upstart Knights dropped their first game of the year, falling to 9-1 during Blackman’s Christmas Classic. One of their most impressive wins so far came against LaVergne mid-December.
Page
The Page High Patriots returned from Alabama with one win in three tries. They lost to Chelsea, 48-42. Then defeated UMS-Wright 52-25 and lost to Oak Mountain, 62-56. Hunter Moss Hunter Moss 6'3" | SG Page | 2025 TN scored 35 points between the final two games. Issac Power Issac Power 6'2" | PG Page | 2025 State TN is back after football season. Power’s best scoring game came against Chelsea within which he scored 11 of the team’s 42 points.
Centennial
Summit
The Spartans played ok throughout the pre-district season. They beat Fairview twice, Forrest twice, but lost to Siegel twice. Derrick Smith and Mekhi Bell are two of the team’s best players to this point.
