Continue ReadingIt seems like just yesterday this kid was getting a few minutes here and there as a freshman, now he is on the floor almost all game and he is a force. He has been playing some really good ball this December. He could be a double-double machine. He was unreal against Woods Cross scoring a lot and also hitting from deep. Francom is a solid D2 type of prospect right now that has the size and strength to compete as an incoming freshman at the college level. Keep an eye on him as he has gotten better everytime he has hit the floor this year.
Highlights
Beattie has been doing his thing and he is playing some fun free-flowing ball right now. He has 7 double-doubles in December alone and he is just taking what is given to him on the offensive side of the ball. He has been tracking down rebounds well on the defensive end with a mixture of foundational boxing out and at times he just has to go and get up and get it. He has the height and the athleticism. One the highest academic prospects left uncommitted. He could be a walk-on or a D1 LM type of a player.
The big fella has been putting up huge numbers and if you have seen him play he is a player that knows how to position himself deep in the post. Putting up 25 PPG on his last two and he seems to be finding his way on this team and he will only get better.. Not to mention his perimeter game has been elite and he has a high ceiling and that is saying a lot for a kid who is 6’10 right now.
The Snow College commit has been playing at a high level as he is demanding a double team on almost every catch and when he does not get double teamed he is hard to stop one on one. One thing that often times does not get noticed is that he is almost getting doubled before he gets a catch and that levels so many players open for a quick catch or a quick drive to the rim. He has been busy this December.
Ocwur is a sleeper big playing at a small school so he is going to be a find as he is one of those unseen kids that has been on the rise. We got our first look at him this summer at our Top 250 Camp. He has had a coming out party since tehn and he has garnered some attention. If you’re a small school looking for a next level steal, take a the trip to APA West Valley and check this kid out.
